Hello everyone,

I've heard that some people like Revlon Colorstay for coverage while on Accutane. I will be starting Accutane next month and was wondering...

Should I get the Combo/Oily skin version (which is currently my skin type) or get the Normal/Dry skin version (in anticipation of Accutane side effects). The combo/oily skin line has more golden tones that might match my skin better. Can I go with Combo/Oily and just apply a lot of moisturizer?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Hazel

Hey Hazel,

I have used both types before accutane but personally I would go for the normal/dry skin one.
I went make up hunting the other day as my skin is starting to dry up. I went in with the thought of getting colourstay but ended up getting Almay TLC make up. It doesn't provide the same complete coverage as colourstay but it feels light and nice on my skin and is hypo allergenic. The lady at the Revlon counter told me about it and said its made by Revlon but with people with sensitive, dry skin in mind.

Anyway what ever you decide the lady gave me a good trick (most people may already do this, I dunno) but usually I would just kind of wipe my foundation on like moisturiser but I found it made my skin flaky, now I just dab it on and it really makes a difference.

Hope this helps, good luck with starting your treatment :-)

Use the combo/oily still. The dry skin made things worse for me. The colors are also different even though they have the same name. The combo/oily matched better too. The dry skin thing must have beens Revlon's idea of a joke.
