My skin is 90% clear right now, but at its worst I have had severe cystic acne. I'm currently using PanOxyl 4% BP Wash and Duac Topical Gel (antibiotic + 5% BP) but I am very curious about Dan's regimen and would like to give it a try. Would you guys recommend it? My only concern is that I would be decreasing the percentage of Benzoyl Peroxide (Dan's products only use 2.5% BP) which might be too weak for me?

Honestly, I wouldn't mess with something that's working, especially if it got rid of your cystic acne.

I'm afraid I will build up a resistance to the antibiotic in the Duac gel though

Hmm, possible. I'd say totally go for it, since bp already seems so effective for you, but I wonder if removing the antibiotic will be a problem.

Topical antibiotics are made to be used for only a short time (3 months). If your current regimen has been working well for you, I have little doubt that proper application of The Regimen @ Acne.org will give you similar or superior results.

Regarding 2.5% BP, there are several studies backing up its effectiveness compared with higher percentages. There is never a need for a higher percentage.

The antibiotic portion of the Duac will stop working anyway, and 2.5% BPO is just as effective and less drying.
