I've been battling acne for the past 2 years using various products such as ProActive, dead sea mineral products and others...
I still get a lot of pimples and use proactive to get rid of it, but a red mark is sometimes left behind. Some of the red marks also sometimes seem to just appeared out of nowhere.
I'm not sure if my acne is a result of acne scars, or if its hyper-pigmentation or one of the listed types of acne.
If anyone has had similar acne and knows of a solution, please let me know.
It seems to keep getting worse, and am not sure what to do. I haven't seen a dermatologist yet, but that is going to be my next move if I cannot think of anything.

I currently use proactive twice a day and moisturise with Cetaphil usually 1-2 times a day.

There red marks from past breakouts. They'll start to fade and eventually go away. Wear sunscreen when in the sun to not darken them.

typically the dark spots last from a month to six months, you can apply lemon juice to lighten the marks.

your acne is very similar to mine infact I have the same pimple as you do on your right side.... if it starts from under the skin and raises up.... its cystic acne. your slightly starting to scar on the left side of your face, I have it like you..... but a little worse as I am older. My best advice is to just no touch it at all... its hard I know.

Hey raw,
You can speed along fading those redmarks with an AHA cream. Instead of your cetaphil moisturizer, maybe try something like Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion. You can look up reviews, it's great for fading redmarks and just daily exfoliation. I use this twice a day and it really helps.
If you wanna give your skin a break, maybe just use your Proactiv cleanser, then moisturizes with the AHA cream. Sometimes less is more, and you might find that using less products can help.
