I started taking probiotics for my acne five days ago. A couple days after, I started using Head and Shoulders on part of my face to test it, only at night. Last night I went ahead and used it on my whole face. My skin after these 2 products looks pretty much the same except I am getting some small bumps in places I don't normally break out in. Should I just stop using H&S so that I can see what effect the probiotics have on my skin? Because if changes happen while using both, I won't know which one caused it.

Well it would be best to stop the H&S for now, you may have had a mild allergic reaction from it. Regardless it is best to introduce one variable at a time into your regimen, that way it is easier to pick up on any problems that may arise.

Only do one thing at a time.
I took probiotic and they caused a horrible breakout for me. Took weeks to recover.
I am currently using H&S twice a day on face and chest. It took a little over a week but My skin completely cleared. I have continued using H&S over 2 months still completely clear.
But everyone has different causes for acne so everyone has a different cure.

Did you experience initial breakouts from the H&S? I've been having bad breakouts that I think are either from the probiotic or the H&S that aren't going away. I stopped using both things, but I used H&S longer than probiotics, although the breakout began while I was still using both and the continued use of H&S didn't seem to make it worse.

Although probiotics have been used internally for many years as a means of reestablishing the state of equilibrium among naturally ocurring bacteria in our bodies, there are now topical probiotic formulations that are becoming available for skin health and anti-aging benefits.
