OKay, so i've been using the medication for around a month and a half now and the results have been decent, but I have noticed my hair is shedding like crazy right around the time I began using it i'm losing around 70 hairs daily, so i'm wondering if hair loss is an unlisted side effect of differin? And if it is, is it permanent hair loss? Because i'll stop using this shit immedietly if it is, I would much rather have acne than lose my hair. If it grows back than no biggie.

A lot of things can cause hair loss...

I've been on Differin for 7 months. My hair sheds like crazy, but its because of my eating habits. Have you changed the way you're eating lately? If you aren't taking in enough calories and protein, your hair will fall out.

No, it's definitly the gel. It happened right after I started using it. I've been eating lot's of fish and meat over the last few days alonf with vegetable juice and I make it a point to eat alot of protien. However one thing I forgot to mention is that I don't wash my hair for atleast 3 days. So It could be that hair just builds up sometimes. If I shower the for two days straight I notice a lot less hairs fall out. My hair falls from all sides of my head and There is no history of male pattern baldness in my family, just incase anyone thinks it's that.

I honestly just want to know if it's permanent in anyone else that's had this happen to them, because if it's not I would much rather keep on using it for a little longer because honestly Differin is making the skin without acne look great.

I just read on the little paper inside that came with the gel that chronic ingestion ( have no idea what that means) can cause side effects similer to overdosing on Vitamin A, one of those is hair loss, so that means this is definitly causes it, and I guess that mean's it's not permanent but i'm not sure.
