Apparently Acne.org recently removed a discussion pertaining to Carley's brand acne products. Before it was removed Carley's made it clear that they didn't like the negative attention that their product was receiving. This however was in a discussion that was citing both positive and negative experiences with the products. And if you look at the actual reviews for Carley's, there are many positive ratings, on this site and other sites. So why has the discussion been removed?
Basically what we've learned here is that if a thread on this forum begins to cast too much of a negative image on a skin care company, Acne.org will feel it necessary to remove the thread. What i find particularly frustrating about this is that in doing so, the administrators have removed a resource for people who are questioning whether they should begin to use a product or not. Here on Acne.org, opinions/threads should never be censored, especially when dealing with people's personal experiences using a product.
So the lesson is...
Be careful when discussing another acne brand on this forum. Because if the company becomes aware of too much negative attention, they will come onto this site and complain. And if this happens the thread will most likely be removed
So The Lesson Is...?

I imagine it's a strange situation for Acne.org to be in because they sell products, but also host a message board where it's open and free to share and discuss methods and opinions on acne treatment. To some companies maybe that looks like a conflict of interest.
However, I think that's unreasonable. And I don't think a thread should ever be removed just because a product is criticized... that's what this whole message board is based on... sharing, discussing, recommending, and criticizing different approaches to treating acne.

The person who started that thread had not tried the products, and was speculating on the source of the reviews, as well as spreading rumors regarding the company in question. We are all about sharing our experiences with products, however this topic had gotten out of hand with a lot of accusations and bickering.
If you have a personal experience you want to share regarding the products from Carley's, feel free to post about it or write a review. But we discourage anyone from starting a thread just to start a rumor regarding a company.
Please post personal experiences, good or bad, regarding the products without bashing or starting rumors.
