I was wondering if it'd be a bad idea to get a blue light therapy treatment (which is basically applying intense blue light to the skin that penetrates the lower layers and kills bacteria) during my regime on Tazorac. Basically, I've been using Tazorac, which dries out the skin and penetrates the lower layers of the skin as well, every night on my face before bed. It's been doing a great job lightening my scars and preventing breakouts but I know it is suppose to make your skin a little sensitive. Like I know you're suppose to wear a hat or apply sunscreen before you go out into the sun and everything. I haven't experienced much sensitivity as i slather on the moisturizer morning and night, but i haven't been out in the sun much lately either. It's been a cold winter.
I was wondering if the blue light therapy would have the same affect as the sun, which apparently is that my skin will burn easier?
I don't want to do anything retroactive here i.e. I don't want to have a treatment that makes my redness worse.
I'm honestly not sure what the affect, if any, the blue light therapy would have on my skin while on this topical regime.
any input would help, thanks so much!
*I also apologize if this is the incorrect subforum to be posting on. I just figured since it's scar/red mark related!
My apologies if it's not in the right place.
