So, I've been suffering with some strange skin symptoms. I always kept thinking of it as a strange feeling like as if I had acid placed on my face with the tingling and pricking and how the skin looks like in some areas it is wasting away and it's so pink and raw and scars are forming on their own. I'm getting indentations all the time. Shallow indents as if the skin is so sensitive it's wasting away and eating itself. It's scary.

And it kept reminding me of like a chemical peel gone wrong or acid complications. I've had the problems going on for a year now. It was worse at one point where the skin was severely red.I knew I couldn't have gotten "rosacea" because I can feel it in my gut. It just dawned on me, that the places where I was using lemon juiice for acne scars (and I definitely over did it with a lemon juice and sea salt scrub for about about 2 weeks everyday back before the problems slowly started to creep up....are the areas where my redness/pinkness is! The lemon and overdoing it probably severely dried out my skin and since it's an acid, it can do a lot of damage. It probably left my skin this sensitive and with these dents and pains and redness. Now that I have realized this, I don't know how to help myself because I am still dealing with the aftermath of my mistake and am still getting indentations, stinging, pricking, pink skin patches, scars, etc. I just don't know what to do for my skin now that I know. It's still obviously recovering. I was basically harshly exfoliating with sea salt and then applying loads of acid to my face. Posted Image What can I do to make my skin recover and grow healthier? I've been using gentle cleansers and moisturizer and helps to an extent. Should I do anything to minimize my scarring also? These red irritated areas are so pink. I've tried olive oil, coconut oil, tea tree oil-which seems to worsen the situation because it's drying the skin I think, Neosporin, but my skin just still keeps degenerating Posted Image Then again I guess I haven't really committed enough time to all of these products before moving on to a new one.

Anyone have an experience with chemical peels gone wrong/acid on skin.....and can give me advice on how to build my skin to health?

Try joghurt mask or almond oil. Both are soothing. Also, try not applying anything for a few days to let it recover by itself. Or apply cold compress. I would try that. Don't do anything harsh now. It should take a while until it recovers.

Thank you for the advice. Well my skin has been like this for a year though so it must have done some serious damage. I have given my skin a few days to breathe without any products but didn't see improvement in the few days I went without anyting, there wasn't much improvement. :( I am also currently using tacrolimus ointment- Protopic from the derm its used for eczema and some other things but mainly eczema. I can't stop the treatment right now, but I am worried because it is causing me to flush very easily.

You probably have very sensitive skin just like me. My skin was also very red for a couple of years. Almond oil and joghurt mask helped a lot! Actually when I first applied joghurt mask my face was 80% less red. I wish you luck Posted Image

Thank you. What almond oil company do you use? Also, what kind of yogurt? Organic plain?

When you say very sensitive...It's definitely pretty sensitive, but do you have the indentations problem that I am having? It's so upsetting to watch my face form tons of indentations and not know why or how since they don't seem to be forming from any acne or bumps, but just the skin itself is almost deteriorating in some places...

I actually posted pictures of my skin problems on here. You can see them here to let me know what you think: http://www.acne.org/...-pics-included/

I just saw the picture. Oh, my skin was much worse! Your skin is pink, mine was literally red! I use Primavera almond oil and just an ordinary joghurt which I usually eat. I have little scars if that's what you mean. And what do you mean it's deteriorating?
