I'm so overwhelmed by how many suggestions and contradictions out there. I was looking at lumiport. the $150 was fine until I saw the $50 postage fee and got cold freet. Please can people help me. Whats actually the best lamp to use (more effective) but cheapest. I dont understand the whole wavelengths/led strengths etc so I'm in such deep water with this but wanting to try.
are exposure to acne lamps say for long periods of time.. I dont wanna do this and then 20 years time find out i have skin cancer or something :/

I did exhaustive research, and I narrowed it down to these two:

1. Dimaluxe: Blue and Red Acne Lamp for $250: 70 LEDs. The company makes professional medical equipment.

or

2. Bright Therapy BTsr11A with 3 heads, $129. A few companies selling the same device under different brands (Sirius, Acetino, etc):

Both of these products are legitimate, the LED heads last forever, do not have to be replaced every few months, like a lot of scam products out there.

So if the LED therapy actually works for you, it is cheaper than medication you have to buy every week.

For me, I am using it combined with a topical antibiotic. Seems to help, but the light alone is not a cure for me, perhaps 50% reduction. Which definitely helps. Cons are, it is time consuming. Visible light is not supposed to age you, that's the UV, but yes there are concerns, I will do more research before I use it more than a few months.

Hope this helps.

thanks for your reply. :)
I'll definitely check them out.

I suppose yeah my main concern is if using these lights on our faces concentrated can cause issues. have they been around for many years. i just have this feeling i'll use this and then 20 years later I'll end up with some tumor or something due to it whether it weakens the skin or the LEDS caused it in the first place. i suppose im so worried to even start, i've never tried one before and to use it so constantly cant be too good :/ but its a catch 22 coz one needs to.
really not sure what to do i was hoping there would be some research or a lot of peoples opinions on the safety of these hand held lamps
