I'm a 22yrs old male who suffer from cystic acne about 8 yrs now. I've been on Accutane twice and try all the medications possible.

I dont want to take long on my post, what i want is be direct with you guys.

Acne is trigger by 4 elements:
  • Excessive levels of insulin and androgens
  • Overactive DHT conversion
  • Weak antioxidant defense, due to oxidative damage (inflammation) and lack of antioxidants
  • Unadjusted colon healthy
Those are the focus on your war against the disease.

For you to control your acne, you will have to aim your medications to those elements above.

After a long time searching and studying, i found something interesting...

HOW TO:
* I'll leave the researching and the dosage with you.

First, you'll have to control your insulin and androgens level on you body. For that, what you want is:
-> Magnesium
-> Vitamin B3 (niacin)
-> Chromium
-> Biotin
-> Fish Oil
-> Zinc
-> Copper

Second, you'll have to control your DHT overactive conversion on your body. For that, what you want is to reduce the 5 alpha-reductase.
There is a interesting study on that here: http://www.ncbi.nlm....pt=AbstractPlus
Assuming that azelaic acid is reducer of 5 alpha itself, i think worth the shot. Just ask for manipulation of an topic cream with:
-> Zinc sulfate
-> Azelaic Acid
-> Vitamin B6

Third, you'll have to adjust your colon health by taking:
-> Probiotics (yakult for example)
-> Fiber (Psyllium for example)

Finally and most important, you'll have to control the antioxidant defense of your body. For that, exist vitamins like:
-> Vitamin C
-> Vitamin E
-> Beta-carotine
-> Selenium

Those are research that i will apply to me because for me it makes perfect sense. Give a try if you want.
All i want to do is give you guys some directions because its hard to deal with it, only WE know...

this seems like a pretty good post my friend! thanks for the info. i believe you are corect in your 4 elements. this should help many people unless they have food intolerences. i already take zinc. i was going to buy beta carotine the other day def need to pick up some probiotcs and fiber that alone i think would help acne immensively.

Do you take all of those supplements at specific times or in specific combinations?

What is your diet like?

How I Stay Clear:

  • Accutane 5mg/day

  • Probiotics 25 billion organisms/day

  • Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser 2x/day

Low Dose Accutane Log

Before breakfast i take the probiotic and the fiber pills. After lunch i take the vitamins above that i use to order to manipulation all together. If you want, i can send to you a inbox msg with my dosages just to you know and have an idea.

I don't have a diet. I eat everything i want to. If you stick to that routine you will not need to be worry about food (if you are no allergic) because your body will be preventing the breakouts with the right methods (probiotics + fiber + vitamins +dht-controller-cream)

How do you get a blended topical cream with the three ingredients you list above (zince, b6 and azelaic)? They sell zinc and azelaic creams at the pharmacy but I have not seen a B6 cream.

Can you post more information about the topical DHT inhibitor? I have no idea what manipulation pharmacy is. I googled it and got nothing. Can you post a link to a cream with those ingredients in it?
