I would say I have moderate acne, but it's been extremely persistent. It has gotten better, albeit slowly, over the last few years - but I'm fed up. I'm currently on the regimen using my own products (cetaphil cleanser, benzoyl peroxide prescription cream - Clindoxyl, cetaphil moisturizer and stieva-a cream). The stieva-a, for those not familiar, is a tretinoin-based cream used to treat acne by alleviating the inflamation/soreness, redness and preventing acne scarring. I've found this stuff to be miraculous because I put it on before bed and in the morning my face isn't red/sore/etc. anymore. The acne is less noticeable, but it's still persistent however.
I'm getting pretty frustrated. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I'm considering accutane, but with the potentially severe effects I don't want to get into it without trying other things. I'm open to suggestions and comments about accutane as well if anyone has had any experiences on it with persistent acne. I also have huge pores, so if anyone knows a way (other than covering up with foundation) to shrink them I'd like to hear about it!

I suggest trying the regimen products. Before trying the products, I used the Pan0xyl Benzoyl peroxide and my face nearly fell off. Didn't like the cetaphil cleanser either (I think it broke me out). Now I only use Dan's cleanser followed by BP. I still get the odd spot here and there but it's 100% better than it used to be.

I did previously use Dan's products and they worked but didn't work as well for me, I don't really have a problem with the cetaphil cleanser either it works for me and alleviates redness/burning associated with acne. I appreciate your suggestions though.
