hi everybody ! I'm kinda new to this forum but so far i love how kind and helpful people are here
. last year i was on my second course of accutane which worked wonders on my seborreic dermatitis on my scalp and my mild acne . but towards the end of the treatment i started to flush horribly. i cudnt be out in the sun, a warm room or any stressful situations without flushing. i knew it was the accutane causing all of this so i decided i was gonna go off of it. so i did. within 3 months my redness and flushing got SO much better and it kept getting better over time today now after nearly a year off of it i can say my skin has improved a lot regarding the redness and flushing but is not totally fine . i still have some redness and blotchiness in my skin and about flushing well i don't flush anymore maybe just like once every other week but nothing compared as before. i have had 2 ipl (intense pulsed light) treatment at the dermatologist office but so far i haven't really seen major improvement to b honest my skin look the same. i had been depressed but the i said to myself I'm not gonna sit around and feel pity for myself i know it could be worse other ppl have it so much worse than me . i know that this will probably never go away but at least i wanna make it better. i also have seborreic dermatitis on my scalp too which is really annoying i get like little pimples on my scalp and hairline ...... does anybody know about an effective treatment for facial redness ? i have tried ipl so far with poor results and well also over the counter products but those don't work. i tried the eucerin redness relief and other creams with no success . when i went to the derm he recommended finacea but idont know if i shud go on it he said that the skin gets worse (redder) for about a month before it gets better. but if the results are worth it I'm willing to try it. i also read about doxycline has anybody tried it? . also any treatments for my scalp condition any shampoos? cream? thanks guys ! and remember we are not alone in this fight

Laser treatment takes time. Months. And several treatments. If ipl doesnt work u might wana try Vbeam, people struggling with redness and flushing after accutane have had great results with it.

Yes, I would recommend V beam (only 6 months post accutane - very important to wait!!) with a qualified technician over IPL. IPL is more risky for post accutane skin in my opinion, and is less effective on vascular issues.
