Was prescribed 500mg of Cephalexin 2 times a day, as well as topical application of Benzaclin, 2 times a day.

Here we go.

Day 1 - First cephalexin taken, will wait until evening to put first application of benzaclin

Day 2

No side effects from the antibiotics yet...Doxy killed my stomach.

A slight drying from the Benzaclin, but it's drying up all the white heads quickly, and making my face less red.

So far so good....

Day 3

It seems like all the pimples underneath the skin are coming to a head, redness in the face is reduced, and overall skin texture is starting to even out.

It seems I get really tired from the antibiotics, but other than that no nasty side effects.

Day 4/5

Extremely dry skin around the mouth...but CeraVa is combating that.

So far... no complaints. It seems to be getting rid of all active acne as well as prevent new ones.

Knock on wood.

It's been one week since I've started both treatments.

Definately in an improvement, about 3 or 4 new pimples and extreme dryness, but it's only week 1.

But, it looks like this might be the treatment that works!

End of Week 2

*Definately seeing improvement, I can pretty much count all my pimples on one hand, maybe two, which is improvement from before I started treatment. Seeing is how it has only been two weeks, I'm looking forward to the next two months!! Knock on wood.

Midway through week 3

What a roller coaster ride. Two days ago, my skin broke out horribly, and I really thought that this treatment wasn't going to work. Today, my skin may be as clear as it has ever been, with one cyst on my left temple that seems to be in the healing stages, and a couple other small pimples scattered throughout the face. Maybe it is starting to turn for the better...
