Hello

I have had a problem with red marks/scarring on either side of my nose for a few years now. I have tried various products such as Oxy and Freederm but they have had no effect.

Each side of my nose often becomes sore as whiteheads seem to develop every few days.

So basically I am after a bit of advice on what products would be the best to try and get rid of these marks/scars on my face as they really do affect my confidence.

I don’t think I have been using the right type of products as I am not too clued up on various types of products out there.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Here’s a picture (sorry for quality)

Hey!

The redness is just hyperpigmentation from what I can see, not actual scarring. Hyperpigmentation will fade on it's own with time. So all you need to do is to get that acne on the sides of nose under control. I don't know what the products you've used are but have you tried some benzoyl peroxide product? Some topical retinoid could work as well but for that you need to go to a derm to get a prescription. :)

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

I haven't tried benzoyl peroxide before but I will look into trying that out.

The redness underneath each nostril which you say looks like hyperpigmentation has been about for a few years now. But, I guess the reason it hasn't faded yet is because I keep irritating it? Especially when a whitehead appears. I will have to avoid touching it at all costs but it's tricky..

Thanks again
