Electric razor before or after shower?

5 posts in this topic

Just found this website and I'm going to give the regimen a try. I have a question though. The step-by-step instructions suggest shaving in the shower. I use an electric razor that doesn't seem to irritate my skin unless I press hard or go over and over one spot. Should I shave before washing my face or after? Typically I get up and shave right away then jump in the shower and wash. Should I do it the other way around and wash my face in the shower then get out and shave and then go right to the BP step?

Thanks and I hope this works!

If you have the Norelco Advantage electric razor then you can shave IN the shower.. that is what I do. Since the razor is waterproof this works great! All I do is lather up some soap and go to town. Just make sure you don't dig too deep with it because then you could cause some ingrown hairs so as long as you just lightly go over your face you shouldnt experience any problems. Howeve if you cant shave in the shower then Id shave AFTER you shower because your face is softened by the warm water. JMO

Like i do, shave before shower...

think about it - you want to loosen up those pores so that the hot water and cleaning products you may use (cleansers) can enter open pores.. So shave before as your doing, get all that hair out the way and leave clear open ready skin for BP time!
