Same here. Do you think you ever need more than 2 months in between so many subcisions to give the skin a break? I'm wondering if injuring it so frequently so often can be a bit too agressive? I mean I really don't know.. but I've heard collagen can still grow up to 3-6 months after in tiny incraments. And lastly, do some scars seem to not be responding anymore?

i was told that the more aggressive it is, the more results i will get. It's been about 8 months since I first started so my skin is still adapting. Everytime I get subscision, ALL my rolling scars vanish. After 5 treatments, they still vanish but eventually come back. Over time, they are fading and getting less noticeable.
I agree that I should give my skin a break which is why I may stop at 6 subscisions, use a derma filler and get lazer. If when the derma filler fades away and my skin looks yuck, I will continue with subscision.

However I should also add that my last subscision was the most aggressive I have. It's been about 4 weeks since I had it done and my face is still very sore. The bruising is only just going now. (The first time I had subscision, the bruising lasted 2 weeks and it wasnt very painful). I believe this can be a good thing because its shocked my skin and collagen enough that its still wondering what the hell is going on. I guess time will only tell to see if I was correct with this theory.

you should seriously consider silicone injections, your scars are perfect for it.

silicone is risky. it can migrate, you can over fill etc. if there are compications your basically screwed. if you fill i say go for temporary first.

Good luck greg, keep it up & you'll get there. I usually see the best results from subcision around the 2nd month & after. But i think the months following it refines a little bit more. I agree that you need to be pretty agressive to get continual improvements. I think you should take a little break of at least 6 months after all of those so close together. I can't believe your bruising lasts that long. Mine lasts jsut 10 days, but I didn't have it on the cheeks so that area might just be more sensitive.

the cheek area is very sensitive and hurts a lot haha. I think my bruising stays for longer because I have white fair skin so its more noticable.

2 more weeks to go! However my face still hurts and a bit bruised! (yes its been a month and a half) so Ive decided not to get subscision but get fillers instead. Once the fillers wear off (in 12 months or whenever) i will continue with the subscision if i need to.

I also plan to get lazer to get the marks I have on my face off.

I will post heaps of photos! watch this space.

I got a close up on what my face use to look like before I had any subscision done and after my 4th treatment. Sorry the photos are in different lights but you can still see the big difference.

I get fillers in a couple of days.

I can see a big improvement especially with the rolling scars. Can't wait to see the photos after you have the fillers. What kind of filler are you going for?

Have you considered fat injections? They are good when paired with subcision, or so I've heard, but I haven't found a good doctor/plastic surgeon who does a procedure like that.

Thank you for posting. I hope it continues to work. When you say "one subcision" - Do they treat more than one scar at a time? Because you look like you have major improvement. Congrats! Keep posting, please.

I live in Australia. The procedure is not an instant cure but it will decrease over time.

I update page 1 of this thread often with updates on what I am doing now with my face.

Ah the lightings all off, this photoshop image will show you the real status:

Posted Image

Don't get discouraged, some scars seem to be gone which means its working. Not to mention, photoshop picks up everything, which the doctors doing the procedure may not even see some of the scars photoshop does. Infact some of these surgeons should probably be working with live video being processed to look like this image so they can see what needs to be fixed.

This is a long journey ladies and gentleman, please bare this in mind.

khill1968 - I got my fillers about a month ago. I got restylane. The procedure didn't really hurt. Nothing compared to subcision. I am happy with the results. My scarring isnt as noticeable as before but they are still there. Only filled in. I plan to get lazer in August. (read page one for more info on that).

My face is still recovering from the subcision. (I havent had any treatment since feb this year). It still hurts a little bit. Mainly when I wash my face or push on my face. I guess this will go over time as my face is still traumatised.

I should also add that before subcision, I use to bearly get any hair on my face. I would shave about once every fortnight. After 5 subcisions, I now have to shave every 2 days.

thisisnothollywood - i dont feel brave but i have learnt alot about myself while getting subcision. infact i have became a lot stronger person emotionally because of it. I use to worry a lot about my looks before i started. its almost been a year now and that part of me has changed. Im no longer so concerned about my looks, Im more proud of who i am and what I have achieved and im not afraid to tell people about my journey. heres a photo of what i looked like after getting subcision. i work in retail and went straight back to work looking like that (i tried to hide some of it with make up but it didnt work out that well lol). that alone makes me proud of what i have achieved.

TheMedic - interesting new photos. my face looks bad when you photoshop it lol but bear in mind, that after photo was around my 4th subcision. My 5th was the most aggressive and where i saw the most results. I will try to get a photo up when i have time.

Again that`s how the doctors should be looking at your skin, with a filter like that. I know for a fact over time your face will get better and better, but that`s exactly it, it will take TIME!

And you`re looking damn good!
