The dryness isn't really that bad but it is spreading to my body. My chest and my back get really dry now and I need to apply lotion. My lips are still chapped and dry. Since my dose has been increased I am even more tired and my foggy headedness has returned full force. I'm hoping that will go away once my body get used to it again. One thing that has been happening that is kind of annoying is almost like minor visual disturbances. That might even be too strong of a word. It's like my eyes are playing tricks on me and I see random white lights in my peripheral vision. It will either be little white specks or it will seem like something is moving. This just started when my dose was increased. But I'm going to ignore it for now and hope it goes away. Its really not that bad. But my skin looks great!!! I just hope I don't break out again from this increased dose... I shall see!

Wow time is going by fairly quickly. No change really. Just dry skin and more dry skin and lips. Now my whole body gets very dry within 5 minutes of getting out of the shower and my whole body requires lotion now. But that's about it. Nothing else is different. I still get tired. I am still thirsty most of the time. But nothing I can't manage. My skin looks good.

Jesoli ~ how is your skin looking? Mine still has like one spot that shows up every now and then but for it only being 1 and a half months so far I'd say it's much improved already.

I had my derm appointment on Tuesday and I'm still healthy and everything is fine so I got my 3rd month supply of Claravis. The only thing that's different now is that I have bad left hip joint pain. It gets pretty bad at times. I can't walk fast or I'll feel a random knife like pain in my hip. It used to only hurt at night now it's there all the time. It just varies in intensity. I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I can take it, but it just stinks to have to deal with it. Leaning over and picking stuff up is hard and I have a big bed that's kinda high off the floor and it hurts getting into it. But whatev... I'm dealing with it. I just keep thinking of the big picture.

Well even though it sounds like you're getting some stronger side effects, the good news is that you're going to start your 3rd month. That means it's time to start seeing some real results. I'm on day 53, and I have my derm appointment in 6 days. I think I've turned the corner now and my acne is starting to improve!

Thanks so much for responding sd85! I love hearing from other people. I'm so glad that your acne is starting to improve! We are almost at the same point.. only 5 days apart. My acne actually got much better a month ago. It's still remarkably better. I had some ice cream and milk several days ago and that made me break out a little but not bad at all. I am definitely someone who can't have too much dairy. The hormones in the milk (and I guess the ice cream too) makes me break out. Do you have any trigger foods that make you break out? Good luck at your next derm appointment!

I don't think there is anything that really causes me to break out. I don't even have worse acne around 'that time of the month.' My skin is (or should I say was) extremely oily which led to huge amounts of clogged pores, blackheads, you name it. My skin is not oily any more and is completely normal! I can go all day without having to feel like I need to wash it.

My acne would get a little worse around that time but not much. And yes I agree about the oily face. I love how it doesn't get oily anymore.. I prefer dry skin! Yes I hated having to wash it half way through the day because it was too oily. Wearing powder makeup helped to keep it under control somewhat but still. Now sometimes I have to put more moisturizer on halfway through the day but I prefer it that way. What side effects have you felt so far? How many mg's are you on?

The only things that I've had are dry lips and small dry patches on my hands. I've been on 30 mgs each day.

I'm on 60 mg's a day. My derm said I'm staying at this amount until I'm done.
