Wutup guys, it's been like a year since I've posted anything on this site and I just wanted to shoot out some more advice to everyone who is still suffering with acne. I'm turning 23 the end of this month and I mean, I still get bad breakouts here and there. My derm told me my case is that I have Rosacea and acne-prone skin which is genetics but I've been taking trials of different medications and finally am starting to see good results. This post isn't about me though, I'm doing good and dealing with my situation fine, this is about you guys.

Acne is tough.....but as much as I hate it, it has humbled me greatly. I'm a good looking guy and when I was younger I was VERY VERY VERY conceited and full of myself. I guess this is the price I pay for it, and WOW have I learned my lesson. The thing is, to the people who feel like acne makes you uglier, or makes you look like a freak, it really doesn't. I always thought this going through my phases of acne but I've noticed that people don't really pay attention to your bad skin unless you point it out. I can tell you straight up that I've had some of the best looking girlfriends in my life so far, and I still get plenty of beautiful girls ( AND I STILL HAVE ACNE ) so that should be hope for you doubtful self-conscious guys out there! My friends look up to me because of my confidence and the way I carry myself, and I'm very respected. Sometimes I'll get that random insecure loser who points out my acne just to take the bad attention away from them but I just try my best to ignore them. My skin isn't that bad right now so it's easier for me to say that I can overcome these emotions but even at MY WORST, I can overcome the negativity and you can too.

I'm a little drunk right now so you have to bare with me if I'm rambling lol just came back from a party but the point is, I was thinking about you guys today. Acne can destroy you emotionally and completely take away your social life, but don't let it. I can honestly tell you that if you go out, even when your skin is at it's worst, just show people that you can still have a good time and be yourself, everything is going to be alright. I know what it's like to look in the mirror in the morning when the sun is out and all your nasty ass pimples are exposed, but stick to your regimens, try not to look in the mirror that much and just go about your day with your shoulders back and your head high. I'M TELLING YOU.....SHOW PEOPLE THAT ACNE DOESN'T PHASE YOU ONE BIT AND PEOPLE WILL LOOK UP TO YOU. There is so much more to curing acne than a good diet or the most expensive medications. What you really need to do is keep your self esteem high and know that whatever treatments you do, or whatever diet you go on..WITH TIME, your acne will completely go away for good. We're young though and we're all going to go through this, so enjoy your life people. Live everyday to the fullest and don't let this bullshit acne get in your way, I promise you....confidence goes a LONG way. Let's show these people with clear skin who the fuckin boss is!!!! One day we'll have clear skin too, and we'll rule the world.

very inspiring dude, i especially love the ending lines, lol. Also, i completely agree, i went through a similar expeirence, when a very conceited bitch dumped me last year cuz she thoguht i was ugly, it was the ultimate confidence shattering moment for me, and it took me months to get over it, but i think its important that i DID get over it, and i found the best way for me was to just be myself instead of moping about what happened; i get it, theres better looking guys, but im far from ugly, and im hilarious! (or so im told), and i actually started walking taller instead of hunching over like i used to, and ppl noticed! now i smile a lot and make lots of jokes with ppl and i dont even remeber being down over whatsherface about whoknowswhat. Still looking for ms.right though, c'mon ladies you can do worse, lol

Thanks for the ramble, it's true that confidence does go quite a long way as I used to be pretty insecure about my acne as well, but in all reality I eventually outgrew that phase and some days I even like my scars a little bit(not really so much the acne)...

Very inspiring and true, theres not much sense in letting it get us down because we would all rather look back on the time that we had acne and be glad we didn't let it destroy us. It is hard, but it's all about how you view it, some people forget is's only one part of life that we eventually move on from, they feel like it will last forever. You have to be patient and never set deadlines for when you want your skin to be clear or better, you just have to go with it and you will be glad you did at the end. You have to get on with your life no matter how you look.
