I agree with Bonbon that it won't work for women who wear makeup. You have to rub a little bit to make sure you're getting all the makeup off.

Anyway, I don't know about the rest of the people here on the scar forum, but I haven't had a bad break out in a while. Acne stopped being much of a problem for me since I passed my mid-twenties, and I just have scarring now. Been dealing with it since 2003... =/

What about your eyes! how can you make sure the acid won't get on there when you pour the stuff on your face

I don't think it would be that effective in cleansing. It's not like people are rough with their skin while they cleanse anyway. At least I'm not confused.gif

I just think that cleansing can cause scarring. What do you guys think?

If you rub a little bit rough, but not TOO ROUGH, can it cause scarring?

Fk it, ima not touch my face at all

Good luck!

So today was the very first day. I noticed massive dead skin on my face (as always) and just got the cetaphil cleanser, mixed it with water, and than poured it on my face. I left it on for like 10 seconds before i rinsed it off with water. I am not going to touch my face at all, except when i apply benzoyl peroxide. instead of applying the benzoyl peroxide similar to how the acne.org videos show us to... i just patted it on my face.. It does not feel like it absorbed that well

Dont touch my face at all really.. and things are getting worse. WTF is that on my inner right cheeks and left outer cheek (near the beard mouth area)?

btw, you can clearly see the rice/grain like things on my nose/inner cheeks.. i dont know how to get rid of them

The awkward thing is, a few weeks ago, on my other cheeks, i had/have similar rice grain like plugs.

So i got some jojoba oil and massaged it over them, and they peeled off pretty easily. Some of them left enlarged pores.. and the area of the pore was red which is REALLY awkward. It looks like slight hyperpigmentation... how is that possible?

I really don't feel like this is going to lessen the chances of you getting scars. As long as you're massaging the cleanser in very gently, you shouldn't have any problems with the cleansing causing scarring. I don't think you're cleansing your face thoroughly this way, however, some people only wash with water and have success, so what do I know?

well, i did use a washcloth a month ago, on my right inner cheek and my forehead.... those weird rice/grain plug like things (as shown in the photos i just took of my left inner cheek), some of those left holes... So i am just leaving them alone now.

The pictures i posted previously were of my right inner cheek, before were the rice/grain plugs... after was when i rubbed them off with a cleanser.

This picture i just posted shows my left inner cheek, and i dont touch this area at all...

WTF Is this?!

btw acneslayer... in those photos that i just posted, is my bad skin texture due to the dead skin on my face... or is it some sort of scarring?

Also, in this photo: http://i56.tinypic.com/2ytqlfo.jpg

Despite the dead skin on my face or rice/grain plugs... Is that wavyness pores or scarred pores?

It looks like you may have a couple of scarred pores, but honestly your scarring is so mild. I have no clue why you think you have bad scarring, because you don't.

I agree at a normal distance I bet it's impossible to distinguish any scarring on your face. Consider yourself lucky. I'm sure that picking and popping definitely leads to scarring, but the majority probably just comes from the acne itself.

ok. When you say bright light, do you mean as in me standing directly under a bright light? Or should the light be hitting my face from an angle... or hitting it from behind?

Here are three different lights in my house which i consider to be "harsh":

which light should i take a photo under?
