does anyone know if cyestra 35 is the same as diane 35? i asked my docotr for diane 35 but gota perscription for cyestra 35 instead. any reviews would be much appreciated. thanks.

Your doco may have prescribed Diane 35, but the pharmacy might have automatically gave you the CyEstra 35, which is the generic for Diane 35, to save you money.

They are both cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiole, but keep in mind that generics and name brands are not exactly the same and don't always work exactly the same due to having different fillers.

thanks for the replies. i have never in my life taken birth control before. I've got a few prescriptions written up for them by doctors, (yaz, aviane 28 and yasmin) and now diane... or cyEstra but I have never been brave enough to actually take any of them. in fear that they would make me break out like crazy. lately my acne has been fairly under control, but im still on that quest for "perfect" clear skin and i would just like to avoid it at any cost. I'm sick of one month being pretty clear then the next broken out and i figured diane may very well help/prevent this. i am just scared to death that this will make my face worse. i really don't need that.

Just as a warning, it might get worse before it gets better. My face didn't really break out worse when starting BCP, but it took a good 4 months before I really saw complete results, so be patient and stick with it.
