Hey everyone,
I just wanted to warn everyone, or notify, that Sauna's will make you break out. I had this really small bump underneath my eye that was literally on my face for months. It was kind of a black head and was sort of annoying but you couldn't really see it and my face was clear so it didn't bother me.
Then I went into a sauna which I never do, and BAM, the thing came alive and everything came to the surface. I am left with a giant, puffy white head that stung, like the infection was trying to be pushed to the surface.
After two days of trying to let this thing be, I finally decided to squeeze it out to relieve some of the pressure the infection was causing. It came out and the pain subsided a lot.
The sauna also brought other tiny white heads to the surface that don't bother me beside aesthetically.
I don't know what to make of this experience. My skin was literally so clear and nice before this. Then it purged because of the sauna. I hate when my skin purges cause it gets worse. I was wondering if other people had similar experiences or regularly purge their skin like this and if it works, etc.

Purging is supposed to be good. It's like the IB period of any treatment. "They" say that it's just all the nasty stuff being pushed to the surface and out of your skin. I assume that's what happened. The sauna just pushed all the crap upwards. Regular steaming might actually help you clear up eventually.
This is just a speculation, though.

Thanks for the post! I find it hard to deal with the actual purge part of the process. It's like my skin was hungover and now it's throwing up to feel better. I want to be drunk all the time!

I has no comment to that.
I let my skin purge out with my birth control IB a year ago. My skin feels amazing now. Not so congested and yucky anymore. Ahhh.

Oh this has happened to me many a time! Particularly with face masks too.
It is one of those things you have to purge your skin frequently for it to stop having this affect, its just whether you mind having break outs for a while.
I have stopped using that Mint Julep face mask, purely because I can't handle have a breakout the next day. Its like going to the gym I guess, the first few times is death but you get better in the long run
But I've never been a fan of the gym!

I really hate breakouts. I'd much rather clear skin and everything that's bad just stay underneath and let it be carried away through the blood stream rather than come out.
I don't get facials but I hear they're similar. I don't see why people do this to themselves! Unless you have like an entire month to hide away.

Yeah, it sucks while your skin is purging, but you'll see a noticeable difference in how beautiful your skin looks when it's over. Promise.
