What do you suggest I add to my diet? And of course if removing dairy and grain from my diet actually helps I'm guessing I'll have to continue on that diet forever and give up the foods I love which means I can never return to a normal teenage life

Yep you'll have to do that for some time. But when you'll feel a lot better and try again those foods, you'll feel the difference and you won't want them again. If you love those foods it's because they contains opioids.

  • Interests:Took (Ro)Accutane. 10 days 20mg once per day in October 2012 (200mg total). Sides - Severe emotional blunting, Severe fatigue, IBS, Sexual Dysfunction, Genital numbness.

I've recovered fully I believe from the emotional blunting and fatigue. The gastric issues are continuing to improve with the SCD diet. The sexual dysfunction and associated ED is improved with cannabis therapy. The genital numbness persists, for now.

If you would like my research documents on Accutanes link to sexual dysfunction/ED and/or how cannabis could be beneficial PM me your email address. The former document is very handy for convincing douchebag Dr's your sides are legitimate.

Pizzaface10: My psychological sides were absolutely terrible until about 8 months after then started to do a U-turn. I would say about 12-14 months after I was back to normal. There is still hope for you yet.

What about the low libido? And little to no morning wood. That's my main concern and apparently that is permanent.

I remember my first ED. I had hourglass penis shape and total impotence. Now it is better. Dont think that things will go worse..

Did you do anything to improve it? Or did you just wait it out? And can you have sex normally?]

I am in 7th month since I quit accutane due to erectile dysfunction. Things got better ~%50 in that department. I can have sex but the recovery time is too long. I have no longer hourglass shape but the fullness is missing in flaccid state. But in general, it improved a lot. Also there is a connection between libido and ED. If I have libido back, I can function normally, if not it takes time to have an erection.
I did nothing special, I dont like taking supplements. I used l-arginin for a while, but then quit cause it is not natural. I avoid sugar, thats all.
My luck is that I have a job where I am happy, and I dont think about my accutane problems most of the time..
You have a young body, I think your recovery will be much more faster..
On the other hand, I suggest you having a blood test done. Testosteron, DHT, vitamin D, folic acid, vitamin b12 etc..

Yeah I think the hardest part is not having any libido. I feel like an emotionless robot when I look at a girl when normally I should feel something down there. And I'm doing blood work on December 1st so

I guess I have to wait until then. Other than this issue I am doing alright in terms of trying to live my life. Some doctors I've seen just sayits in my head. I tell them that I wwish it was that simple and easy to fix but sadly it's not.

Nah not at all. And if it is permanant for you theres heaps of herbs/supps/essential oils that help a lot with it.

I had chronic fatigue/anxiety/ED and I've pretty much fixed a lot of it up through various items of the above. Still experimenting. But right now at least 1000% better than at the worst stage. Roughly 50% of where I actually want to be - porn star quality...

Just a quick post:

Timatron if you're having gastric issues, give the 'Specific Carbohydrate Diet' a go. Reduced my symptoms by 90% in 3 days. After a month, sticking to the diet gave me complete resolution of symptoms. Now 2 years later, I can stray quite heavily without issues. However, I'm still not 100% but somewhere >90%

Thats cool that it worked for you crank, Unfortunately I dont think it will work in my favour. I looked at this website http://www.breakingt.../legal/listing/ and just browsing it I can see that half the legal list will cause me major problems (fructose intolerance) and half the illegal list is what I thrive on, namely grains which I love and give me energy and all that stuff.. But the fodmap diet works for me, check it out man, its the only ibs diet that has clinical research done on it with proven results.

Hey crank I'm up to page 209. Have you tried the RSO or medical marijuana as yet? Any positive effects?

To timatron: I think I'll wait a little while longer before I start experimenting with herbs.

And by the way did anyone drink alcohol while taking this drug? Because I had two drinks and the next few days Is when I started noticing it harder to keep an erection so I stopped accutane. Even though I can get an erection about 20% of what is was before, I still have no libido
