Welcome everybody, to Randomstuffs261's VERY DETAILED DAILY LOG


Im starting to get some comments regarding the 'obsessiveness of the log'
I see your point of view, but i really stand by my word when i say - i ENJOY doing this log, i look forward to adding to it everyday and im already seeing the progress ive made.

Its not just an acne log, its a log of my mental wellbeing and overall health smile.gif and im really proud of myself for starting this!

It's not stress, i feel less stressed from doing the log smile.gif no joke!


I dedicate this time to understand my spots, so that for the rest of the day, i dont worry!

Hey all.
This is something ive thought about doing for a while. I hope you enjoy it.

Everyday, i am hoping to write an entry including an image of where my new spots have appeared during the same day including what i recently ate and how i have treated my face, how i slept, what meds/suppliments ive taken... in order to see the progress i make and what affects my acne.

Note
I have only recently begun to use benzoyl peroxide as a full time treatment and i am still having initial breakouts. Sadly some parts of my face(mouth, nose, left hand sided cheek) arent regularly treated with BP because they will dry out very quickly and are all Red and soar. But for the rest of my face, i pretty much follow the regimen as best i can.

Day 1

Friday

Had a haircut on 29th - hair was pretty shaggy, now it stays off forehead.

December 31st 2010

What i did - stayed in

Mood - Very Depressed

Sleep details

Sleep level - Poor

Sleep position - left hand sided cheek.

Oral health - Poor

Food

Breakfast
Salmon and Cream cheese bagel

Dinner
Pineapple, gammon, chips, peas.

Snack (2 am)
Fish fingers
3 Crackers + butter
Hula hoops.

Drinks
1000ml water
J20 (orange and Passion<3 fruit flavour) 275ml
Dandelion and burdock. 300 ml

Treatment

Morning

Dan's cleanser.
BP - Dan's
Panoxyl 2.5% and panoxyl 5% directly onto spots to dry them out.
Vaseline, emu oil and vitamin e oil on VERY dry areas (nose and right HAND SIDED cheek and around mouth).
And Dans moisturizer on less dry areas.

Afternoon

Dan's cleanser
BP directly onto spots (face was getting too dry and flakey)
Vitamin E oil, emu oil and vaseline on dry patches.

Use of vaseline/ lip treatment
Vaseline on lips

Medication(for the NATION!!)/suppliments

Zinc - 15mg
Vitamin E suppliment - 400iu ( its alot i know "/ )

Daily face map for 31st December

Saturday

January 1st 2011

Happy New Year!

Note
I am going to stop using BP for a couple of days after today because i dont want my skin to be all dry when i go to school on the 4th.



ANNOUNCEMENT
I am going to re-use my UV light ray treatment again ( LUMIE CLEAR ) from now for about a month if i can.
I am also going to try and sleep on my back to see if there is any difference. -FAILED to show a difference

What i did - stayed in (again "/)

Mood - Depressed (not as bad as yesterday)

Sleep details

Sleep level - moderate
Sleep position - tossed and turned alot, hard to tell, probrably right hand side though.

Oral health - poor

What i ate

Breakfast
Salmon and cream cheese Bagel

Dinner
Peas, steak, roast potatoes, gravy.

Snacks
Corn flakes + Milk & sugar

Drinks
1350ml water

Treatment - Morning
Exfoliated using exfoliating glove pretty much all over.
BP under chin, slightly on right hand sided cheek, forehead.
Vitamin e oil - all over
emu oil - all over
vaseline, sudacrem, e45 on left hand sided cheek.

Afternoon
UV light ray treatment - "Lumie Clear"
Right cheek 15 minutes
Left cheek 30 minutes (Seriously need backup!)

Night-time
Dan's moisturizer + Emu oil and vitamin E oil.
Dans BP on cheeks (specifically in the area of spots - Mid left cheek, mid right cheek , top left forehead).
Panoxyl BP under chin and jawline up to behind ears. And specifically on the spot that appeared on the left cheek.

Meds and suppliments
Zinc - 15mg
Vitamin E - 400iu
Echinacea - 1 tablet

Vaseline/lip treatment
Vaseline on lips

In the picture below you will see the facemap of today
Red dots show spots that have appeared overnight/during the course of the day
Blue dots show spots that have been dried out and/or are healing since yesterday

January 2nd 2011

Notes
Breaking out VERY badly around cheeks, nose and chin/mouth because BP dried out my face badly. As highlighted in yellow/orange on the facemap today.

Announcement
Today is the last day of using Vitamin E suppliment because it's a very high amount ( 400iu ) and can cause heart problems. My family has a long history of heart disease - NOT CLEVER !

What i did - Went out for family meal

Mood - Moderately Happy , but slightly stressed out that school is in 2 days.

Sleep level
Very poor

Slept where?
On edge of face/ hairline.

Oral health - Good.

What i ate.

Breakfast - nothing

Dinner - Roast potatoes, carrots, yorkshire puddingsx2, Collyflower cheese, gravy, parsnips.

Desert - pavlova ( YUCK )

Snacks - chips, burger, toast with pate on.
Salt Crisps, yoghurt.

(today i ate pretty badly "/ )

Drinks
- 3 J20s - Orange and passionfruit flavour, 275ml each.
Cola - small glass.
500ml water.

Treatment
Exfoliated ALOT ! using exfolation glove, pretty much all over.
Dan's BP under mouth, jawline.
Emu oil, Vitamin e oil all over to support skin.
Spot marked "B" - specifically Panoxyl 2.5 gel
Spot marked "Z" - specifically Panoxyl 5% cream
Sudacrem - right hand sided cheek where the line of marks are and left hand side of nose.
Spot under chin - 2.5 panoxyl BP

1 hour light treatment - left hand sided cheek.
15 minutes light treatment right hand sided cheek.

Suppliments:
Zinc- 15mg
Vitamin E - 400iu.

Here is the facemap from today. ITS DETAILED - INCLUDES WHERE MY SCARS ARE on facemap to the right in purple/blue

Yellow/orange-areas dried badly by BP
Blue- Spots healed/ fading.
Red-spots that have appeared overnight/ during the day.
Green-Spots that are still active from a previous date.
Purple-Scarred areas - from PAST breakouts!
Pink w/ black outlines- red marks/ scabs from recent spots.

NOTE
- On my chin there is a deep cyst. (OUCH)
Spot marked "B" - specifically treated with Panoxyl 2.5 gel
Spot marked "Z" - specifically treated with Panoxyl 5% cream

Vaseline/lip treatment
Used vaseline on lips overnight.

Another thing you might want to include in your log is the amount of stress that examining and detailing every little discoloration on your face will cause. tinydan.gif

lol smile.gif i would, but the fact is, it really makes me feel good to log this. Over time, i will see how much i've cleared up and what i used to use... how i used to feel... What i did that day...

Overall, i love doing this, and i hope you enjoy reading it - Nomatter how obsessive it seems! smile.gif

I kind of agree, it's not good to be doing this much obsessing. It will probably cause stress. If you worry about every pimple that shows up, how others are doing, etc, you'll become obsessed with your skin and I honestly don't think that's a good thing.

Day 4

Today, no new spots have appeared and i believe its partly due to the fact ive stopped using BP.

What i did - woke up late :/ , did homework...
Mood - happy
Sleep - good - 10 hours
Sleep position - right hand sided cheek.
Oral health - good

What i ate

breakfast - none

Dinner
- mear Pizza -tomatoes, peporoni, ham , savoury rice, salad.

Desert
- strawberrys and cream.

Drink
-Dandelion and burdock 300ml
-Water 500ml
-300ml tropical juice

Snack
2 spicy bean burgers
2 mince pies

Treatment

Exfoliated alot.

- some BP
-Dan's around mouth
Panoxyl 2.5 gel on spot on left cheek, spot above mouth

Vitamin E oil- Everywhere! practically soaked in it
Emu oil - same
Vaseline - on scared areas.
Sudacrem- on right hand sided cheek.

UV light treatment:
Right cheek 15 minutes
left cheek 30 minutes

Suppliments- 15mg zinc

Lip treatment- Vaseline on lips

Here is the facemap for today:
Pink w/ black border - scabs from recent spots
Blue- Healing spots.
orange areas - Areas dried by BP (from 2 days ago)
Green - spots still active

- first day at school in the new year ! YEEEEY "/

-Woke up with no spots, all spots appeared during the day . Used vitamin e oil during day.

What you did - went to school and napped for FIVE whole hours afterwards.

Mood - stressed, depressed...

sleep - position ~ all over, tossed and turned.
- amount ~ Not alot the night before, got maybe 4 hours sleep. After school - 5 hours.

Oral health - Good

Food:
Breakfast~
Chocolate shreddies+ milk
Cereal bar
cookie

Lunch:
Sandwich with ham

Dinner:
Yorkshire puddings x2
Gravy
Chicken and bacon
mashed potatoe
Peas
Carrots

Drink:
Small glass- Dandelion & Burdock
100ml - apple juice

Treatment:
Morning - Vitamin E oil all over face during day.

afternoon- Dan's Bp inbetween eyebrows, under mouth and most prone areas on cheeks.
E45 - on burned patches.
Vitamin E oil - as moisturizer all over.

UV ray treatment:
15 mins right cheek
15 mins left cheek.

Suppliments:
Zinc - 15mg

Lip treatment:
Vaseline - overnight.

Blue spot healing (its a cyst- really deep under the skin, i cant really tell "/ )

If you're open for suggestions, I would recommend eliminating dairy from your diet for a while and record the results. Also, lack of sleep causes more stress, which in turn will cause acne. Get more sleep if possible

Today was much better smile.gif 2nd day back at school but im still way out of whack with my sleeping pattern :/.

-trimmed eyebrows last night - hence breakout possibly

Announcement
Dark marks are fading considerably on left cheek compared to right cheek. Probrably due to Lumie clear - UV light ray treatment.

What I did ~ went to school

sleep - position ~ Right hand sided cheek.

Breakfast bar.
Crumpet + Jam

Apple juice ~ small glass
Orange juice ~ Small glass

cheese and ham toasty.

Treatment:

Daytime~ Bp on active spots (panoxyl 2.5 gel) - Made little difference
Vitamin E oil - all over

Night ~
BP:
Dan's ~ All over face
Panoxyl 2.5 Gel ~ On active spots
UV light treatment ~ 30 minutes left cheek
15 minutes right cheek
15 minutes over mouth/ chin/ muzzle/ under nose area
15 minutes over left cheek

Suppliments - None

Lip treatment - Vaseline (nightime)

Blue= Big dormant cyst that wont go away.

Morning - Dan's BP from last night
:added some 2.5 panoxyl gel to active spots around mouth and around eyebrows.

afternoon-
Uv light ray treatment :
Left cheek 30 mins
right cheek 15 mins
forehead 15 mins
mouth area/ chin 15 mins

Panoxyl 2.5 gel Bp on all active spots.

Suppliments:
Zinc 15mg

imo everythings right with yo regimen cept diet n sleep dude. well ikno how hard is to fix wacky sleep patterns -_- havent went sleep properly n sooner than 3am for months myself -_- buh diet dude is kinda not very right sometimes for u, fe milk+cerial + sugar= nuh uh eusa_naughty.gif but then again from yo map doesnt look like u have too much acne n shit anywayz eusa_think.gif so idk maybe its fine for u n u just have to think about skincare? shrug.gif good luck anyhow tho

Yeah, sleeping pattern is a DEFINATE for change . As for the cerial, ill keep the milk, but kick the sugar wink.gif

Morning-
Dan's BP from last night.
Vaseline and sudacrem on fading spots.

Afternoon-
Cider vinegar.
Vaseline + sudacrem on fading spots.
UV light ray treatment - 30 mins left cheek - 30 mins right side of jawline , 15 mins right cheek.

Clearasil treatment cleansing wipes under chin and around nose. - Rarely use.

Nighttime
- Dan's cleanser
- Dan's BP
- Emu oil
-Vitamin E oil
sudacrem + vaseling on scabs.

Suppliments
- Zinc 15mg

Treatment-
Morning:
Rinsed face in shower with water
Vaseline on scabs+sudacrem

Afternoon:
light treatment - alot done , few hours worth all over face.

Night=
Rinsed face with water
Dans bp all over
panoxyl 2.5 gel specifically on spots.
panoxyl 5 cream on densly spotty areas
Deep pore cleanser - on Nose to get rid of black heads


Suppliments- None sad.gif no zinc left.

Lip treatment
vaseline

good that your getting a lot of hydration. water seriously helps so much. just wanted to suggest green tea? i drink green tea in the morning and afternoon and water all day in between those times and it has really really helped. anyways, good luck and i love your picture House is one of my fav shows!

Yeah, thats Bp and sudacrem for ya wink.gif i always get parralel patterns of spots around my mouth.

good that your getting a lot of hydration. water seriously helps so much. just wanted to suggest green tea? i drink green tea in the morning and afternoon and water all day in between those times and it has really really helped. anyways, good luck and i love your picture House is one of my fav shows!

Spots on forehead between eyebrows are small spots, nothing too much.

What I did - went to school

Mood - happy

sleep - position - back, right side

Oral health - good

Shaved? yes - whole face

Food-
breakfast - cornflakes and milk+ sugar
chocolate spread on toast.

lunch - Rap with chiken and lettuce and salad cream
mars bar

dinner
- meat pizza

Drink
- 800ml water
small glass orange juice
small glass dandelion and burdock
Green tea

Treatment
Morning-
Rinsed face with water
vitamin e oil

night-
rinse face with water
dan's Bp - all over
Panoxyl 2.5 gel - on specific spots
panoxyl 5% cream - on under surface spot and inbetween eyebrows

Suppliments - none

Lip treatment
Vaseline

Here is the facemap for today -

Red- Spots new today
Red with Blue border - spots appeared today now fading
Green - Spots still active from previous dates
Blue - Healing spots
Pink with black border- scabs from spots now gone.
Orange - Areas dried from BP
Purple - under surface spots/ cyst

January 11th 2011

Nighttime note - looking back at day 9, ive decided to use the regimen tonight.

What I did - went to school

Mood - happy

sleep - 10;30 - 3am, 4am - 7am

Oral health - good

Shaved - all places (on face "/)

Food:
Breakfast - cornflakes +milk + sugar, muffin of blueberrys

lunch:
Ham roll
Mars bar

Dinner - Mussels and pasta and tomato sauce

Drink:
Tropical juice- small glass
500ml water
500ml Diet pepsi "/

Treatment:
Morning:
Rinsed face with water

Afternoon- Panoxyl BP 2.5 gel on specific spots
Dan's BP all over face.
Uv light ray treatment- 15mins right and left cheeks.

Night:
Rinsed face with acne.org cleanser

Dan's Bp all over face

acne.org moisturizer

panoxyl 2.5 gel on bad areas/specific spots
Vaseline+sudacrem+emu oil+vitamin e oil on scabs

Suppliments - None (but took stress pills x2)

Lip treatment- Vaseline
