i think the longest ive gone has been 3 weeks. and i was relatively clear due to abstaining and the foods that i ate. however, this past week i wacked off twice in 3 days and i got most of my acne on my temples and forhead. they became really inflamed for a day or two then died down significantly after.

for me its kind of hard because i have a gf and of course i will not turn down a quickie so theres a downside.

Interestingly enough, from what I've heard, people who do it with a partner don't get acne. It's the people who do it themselves (with an imagined partner) that get acne. Not the case for everyone of course, just the general trend as I've perceived it.

Yes try it again... don't expect results immediately, and most importantly, MASTURBATION DOES NOT EQUAL WET DREAMS, masturbation is much worse, wet dreams may flare up skin a little, but are easier to heal from and not as destructive.

For the most part I abstain from masturbation because of how guilty/ awful/ self conscious I feel for up to a week after when my skin is inflamed red, new acne is popping up everywhere, and it overall feels like a mess. I'm going to try for 2 months, thats around the beginning of novemeber, dermatologists say it takes 2 months for new acne to appear, so hopefully I will see by then if this really helps.

It works. I went three weeks without spanking it and my skin looked good
not perfect but better and i felt a lot better too.

I'm going to start this experiment today. The last time I masturbated was yesterday, so this is my day 1.

This is my story:

I am 15 years old (turning 16 on December) and I started masturbating when I was 13, almost 14. At that time I thought that I had started too late doing this, so I started masturbating more and more. I used to do it around 15 times per month, which I considered a lot, so I promised myself that I was going to low the number of masturbations by 1 time per month. But this didn't work because some months later I got back to the habit of masturbating almost everyday (especially on vacations).
Until that moment I didn't have consequences of masturbating that much, I just felt kind of guilty everytime I finished maturbating. But 6 months later (after my first masturbation), I started to have acne and I thought it was because of the natural process of puberty. Then, I realized that everytime I did it, I got a breakout in my skin and when I stopped masturbating for one week or so, my skin became almost clean.
Since this year I started to grow more and more pimples, including a lot of blackheads in the nose and redness all over my face. I noticed that almost all of my friends at school didn't have acne, so I thought they didn't masturbated, but that wasn't true, because I heard them talking about watching porn while masturbating. So I started to think that I suffer a particular case which consists in masturbating and then having breakouts in my skin. I browsed in the web and I realized that I wasn't the only one suffering from this particular issue.
Now, I am masturbating everytime less and less, but still my skin is worse because of all the times that I jacked myself and for all the time that has passed since I started masturbating. I'm decided to complete 30 days or more of abstinence (my record is 8 days) to see my face clean and prevent having those horrible scars that some people have.
I know this is going to be tough but I am sure that the effort will be worth it.
I practice tennis 3 or four times per week and exercise on the pull up bars almost everyday. The sad thing is that I am so addicted to masturbating that sometimes I stay in my home watching porn and jacking myself instead of training and exercising, which makes me feel that this habit is very bad for my life. Also, when I have the urge of masturbating it makes me loose a lot of time, so sometimes I don't do my homework.
Masturbating a lot has a lot of consequences as you can see, it makes your face look ugly, loose valuable time and probably is affecting your health.


Advice:

If you want to stop masturbating, you can't stay alone at home a lot of time because you'll get bored and will want to masturbate, so you better practice a sport or workout at the gym. I have noticed that the best sport to cure acne is swimming, because after it your redness is lowered.
You can't stay a lot of time in the bathroom or you will want to jack off.
Also, when you are having the urge of masturbating, you are very horny and got nothing to do at home, so take a nap, that will get you relaxed and prevent you from masturbating.
Go to bed before 10:30 p.m. so you don't have a lot of free time at night.
Always pee before you go to bed, that will decrease the number of erections you have at night and therefore decrease the possibilities of having a wet dream (I've never had one, so my face can get better in a shorter period of time).
Acquire discipline, do your homework in the weekends, so you can practice sports during the week and hang out with your friends.


DAY ONE:

Right now my face is looking very bad, my nose is full of blackheads, and there is redness all over my face (especially in the left side). I am feeling better now that I've finally decided to get involved in some of these experiments. Hopefully I can pull this out and get my face completely clean by the end of the year.
This project will help me to accomplish my goals and live my life to the fullest.

Great stuff, I'm almost done with 4 weeks and I feel much better.

Other tips:
1. You can control your hand. You cant control hormones, but you can control keeping your hand away.
2. Jacking off may feel good for a few minutes, but then you feel awful/guilty for weeks, not worth it...

DAY TWO:

There aren't big changes in my face, still redness in my left cheek and more moderated in the other parts of the face. My nose is oily because of the big amount of blackheads. What has really changed is my attitude, I feel more confident.

DAY THREE:

There is no new acne formed but there aren't also great improvements. I think the redness starts to fade away after 10 days of abstinence.

DAY FIVE:

My face is looking slightly better and is not as oily as previous days. I've had urge to masturbate (specially today) but I've managed to deal with it. It is getting tougher everyday, but I know I will be able to accomplish my goal.

DAY SEVEN:

My pimples are not as prominent as before and the redness has been lowered considerably. There is no new acne formed.

Yesterday I couldn't resist the temptation because I watched porn. I jacked off twice.
I will start again today and I hope I can go for a longer period of abstinence.
I will be posting here again when I notice that my face is really better.

I'll join in. I haven't masturbated for 2 weeks. I've had some wet dreams but they don't seem to cause me much trouble. Would love to know the science behind the difference in nocturnal emissions and masturbation on a hormonal level. Why one causes severe acne and the other doesn't. Oh well maybe when medical industry gets their heads out of their ***'s we might have some detailed knowledge regarding this acne connection.

For the past 5 days or so I've been getting horrible sleep. I've been trying to get to sleep around 11am (normally I sleep at 1 or 2). I keep waking up at 4am and I can't get back. one time I decided to sleep at 1 or 2 and slept the whole way through. My whole body clock is off or something. Also lack of masturbating for the natural sleep aid it typically gives me may be a factor. Gonna go get some lavendar and jasmine oils to fill my room with. The aroma is supposed to help.

Overall my face is much much better. If it wasn't for the crappy sleep I'm getting lately I bet it would be even better. Just gonna have to wait a little longer.

I sustained for 21 days. In fact I was getting more pimples somewhere at second to third week. Maybe I wouldnt if I could go totally un-aroused for the whole while. I believe it can play some role (depending on your emotional condition), but it is not the key factor.

Hi everyone.

I haven't been on the forums since school started but I want to give this a decent effort before I toss the whole theory aside.

My forehead has been relatively clear since I cut back (only masturbating a few times a week..) but that's not enough for me because I want to quit completely due to the guilty feeling I always get the next day.

I think it might be possible to get pimples from being aroused but as long as you don't orgasm then they probably won't be big cysts.

It's been almost a month since my last post here. The truth is that I haven't been really committed with this experiment (I've masturbated like 10 times since I started this).
I am tired of having this addiction and dealing with acne, so I am going to take extreme measures from now on.
I am not going to watch porn anymore or think all the time about sex. I'm going to workout everyday and play tennis more often.
I want to focus on my real goals and dreams.
And regarding the thing of being aroused even if you don't ejaculate, I do think that it causes acne, not as much as masturbation but it has some negative effects.

I hit my 3 week mark. I have been aroused a lot but I have not orgasmed. I have had some wet dreams throughout but those don't have near the same level of consequences. So over all I am much clearer but because of arousal, probably diet, and perhaps wet dreams I still have a couple of spots but they aren't much. If I stopped looking at porn so much I would probably be clear. I know just looking starts to stir your hormones around, increases testosterone but at a lesser level.

As time goes on it is easier to not look at porn so much. The craving isn't as severe and I can tear myself away easier. It does help to have some really good video games or something to get your head enveloped into something else for those boredom moments.

My sleep is still totally f'd up presumably from abstaining since it's the only thing I've changed in my life. I keep waking up around 4AM still. I've been reading about the circadian sleep schedule and so I've been going to sleep around 10PM or so to hit the crucial 11PM-1AM period where my body detoxifies itself. Easy since I wake up at 4AM and can't go back lol. Last night was good I went to bed around 10PM and woke up at 5:30. My skin does seem to look really improved when I wake up as long as I go to bed super early to compensate for the early arise.

I've been taking cinnamon pills for blood sugar and zinc.

You guys are hilarious. Keep going back to day one over and over lol. It may have some
Effect but I'd be very little. If anything it will cause you a lot of stress and restless behavior. Just eat a clean diet not donuts and coffee lol. Don't blame your jack offs blame your diet.

Day 24

I have not even looked at porn in the last 2 days. It helps that I had long busy days at work and going to bed early. Definitely seems to help my skin not even looking at porn and getting aroused. Porn's addictive stranglehold on me is getting less and less.

You guys need to understand it will get easier to not look at porn as time goes on. Every time you look at porn and masturbate your brain associates good feelings with porn. It then builds a whole addictive behavior around that. I'm sure you all know this. It's addiction 101, but at least this tells you that it is beatable.

My skin has never been this good since getting acne.

P.S also once you get to day 24 for example. The prospect of masturbating and losing this record is not a very attractive one.
