Trying to make the connection with masturbation and acne.
Anybody can join in, but there are a few rules and conditions.
1. No masturbating for one month (30 days).
2. No cheating/lying; if you can't make it to 30, then simply start over from day 1.
3. You must check in everyday in this thread with your day count at the top. Share how you are feeling, what your face looks and feels like, techniques you use for abstaining, anything else you feel is relevant and helpful to others.





Now don't get me wrong, I believe sex is a very normal and natural act. However it is obvious that without sex, none of us would have acne Posted Image haha. The main purpose of sex by nature is for reproduction, and technically you can only reproduce every 9 or so months. Sex and masturbation are two different things. One is necessary, the other is...well...something you do when you're bored or can't get any... I am not asking you to surrender all sexual activities forever, only until your skin clears up. Then you can start doing it again in moderation. If you haven't given this a serious effort, then you are cheating yourself. It will cost you nothing but some effort and self-discipline, if you see no changes to your acne and aren't happy with your increased mood and energy then I'm sorry for wasting your time; but if you start feeling better, and your skin starts clearing up, then geeze, isn't it worth a try?



For those of you serious about this and want to find a solution to your acne, here are a few tips:
>wear tight underwear (this reduces sperm count and hormone levels)
>eat chocolate (it releases endorphis which make you feel happy and helps cancel out the urges)
>eat a healthy diet (include more raw fruits and veggies into your diet, it will make you look and feel better)
>stay away from porn, any sexual content if you can help it, movies, music videos, seductive songs (this will be tough at first, but will be easier with practice)
>distract yourself (do something fun, play a game, go for a run, lift weights, hang out with friends; really anything that can get your mind off porn and masturbation)

Day One:

this is actually the end of day one.
i feel pretty good and excited about getting started.
i plan on going to the gym a lot more to keep my mind clear and getting to bed around 9-10:00 so that i don't have too much free time at night..

Day Two:

very sore from the gym redface.gif
face is a little red from sauna but nothing too serious
no big new pimples to report of
i know the hardest part of this processes comes in the next few days, hopefully i can pull through

still waiting on anyone else to accept this challenge !
my bathroom and closet are full of products including the BP kit from this website. i think all too often people spend hundreds of dollars on face scrubs and washes, when all we have to do is listen to our bodies and get to the root of the problem before we start seeing real results

i also had BK for lunch :'( even though i brought some fruits and veggies with me to work eusa_whistle.gif

There are so many times I have tried this out. I think I just need to prove to myself that I actually can go for that long.

So, I'll start with you. Making today day 1 (I havent wanked today razz.gif)

I am having some concerns over unwanted/inappropriate erections in class at school etc., without my daily release I feel I will be getting a lot more horny than usual. Have any experience with this?

Also, I am on accutane, B5 and will be starting AcneScript soon so they all may intefere with results. (I know taking all those things at the same time might not be good but waking up with new whiteheads every day for 3 years can make you do crazy shit.)

i usually get unwanted erections now only when i need to pee, so if i use the restroom as soon as i feel like i need to go then i don't have to worry about any unwanted erections. i don't now if this is what starts to happen as you get older or what but i know for sure that after a few weeks when your brain realizes that you no longer need an erection everyday to masturbate, then those unwanted erections will stop popping up eusa_naughty.gif ha

i've actually had acne since around the time i started high school, and now i'm a few years into college. i have a box full of vitamins and minerals supplements, but i've been reading the china study on my mp3 player at work and i agree with the guy that our bodies just don't know how to process vitamins and minerals in the form of pills. we have been getting our nutrients from whole foods and vegetables / fruits for thousands of years, and vitamin supplements have just recently become such a huge business.

i haven't tried any serious prescriptions for my acne. personally i would avoid accutane at all costs because of all the side effects i've read about. you should give this whole no mbing a shot before you start anything new like AcneScript though.

still going strong
my face hasn't gotten noticeably bettter since yesterday, but it hasn't gotten any worse either!
i will probably post more pics saturday night

Day Four:

i gotta say, the urges today were definitely tough
i think that anybody who tries this little "experiment" will have the most trouble with the boring weekends eusa_whistle.gif
i guess my advice is to stay busy and don't stay up too late, play video games or watch a funny movie or something
not much to report on the face, no big changes, have one pretty big annoying pimple, and a couple small white ones around the mouth area
had a cup of dunkin donuts coffee with some chocolate sprinkles donuts eusa_dance.gif hopefully my forehead won't break out from these lol

my acne hasn't gotten a whole lot worse since
some spots seem to have gotten bigger but overall my face still seems to be calming down

Hey, I'm going to try this. In the past I thought I've seen a link between acne and masturbation, but I have never really proven it to myself.

Just recently I finished an 8-day streak of no masturbation. However, it wasn't really that effective, since I had 3 wet dreams during the time I was abstaining.

Now I'm starting over from day 1. I'm hoping to avoid wet dreams by waking up earlier, and by not thinking about masturbation during the day. I know it's probably futile to avoid a natural bodily function, but hey, here's hoping biggrin.gif ...

Tomorrow will be day 1 since I failed today. I really want to try this to see if it will work, and if it doesn't, then put the beast to sleep forever.

I'm also currently on Doxy and tretinoin cream for acne, as well as Elidel for dermatitis. I've been on 'em since the end of January. They do great things for me, but they're not perfect. Currently, for example, I have like 5-6 red spots on my face. I'm hoping that abstinence will be the finishing touch.

^ thanks for jumping in, hopefully you will see some changes
as for the wet dreams, i strongly believe that it's your bodies way of adapting to your sudden abstinence from something you've been doing for a long time
after a few weeks i think your body will balance itself out and you will stop having wet dreams

i find it's a really good idea to get out of the house and do something either outside or go to a public place like a gym or walk around the mall whenever you have urges, because I'm usually too weak to fight them and they eventually win eusa_doh.gif

the inflamed spots seem to be slowly going away, and i think some new spots are coming up around my eye area, or maybe they are just smaller ones on their way out
i feel pretty good about making it through today, i was about to cave but then i packed and went to the gym and had a pretty intense workout and completely forgot about mbing

Day 4:

haven't been getting much sleep lately 6-7 hours tops; going to start getting 8-9 hours hopefully starting tonight
i have my fingers crossed but the worst of my pimples from the morning seem to be shrinking almost completely by night time, before i stopped my little habit, i could have a few pimples that would be there for 5-6 days in full form, but *fingerscrossed* not anymore eusa_snooty.gif
i think i will post more pics on friday or saturday

just a side-note to anyone reading this thread and wanting to try this to get rid of their acne or for other reasons. i've been trying to kick this habit for many months; but i haven't taken it seriously enough until i started posting an honest log on this forum. if you are serious about doing a log but don't want as much attention, just post here wink.gif don't be shy, i will do my best to help you and i'm sure others who have been through this will throw in some advice too; i know this is a touchy subject on these forums but it's definitely worth a good 20 day trial to see if you see any improvements. i know many others have seen improvements from simply abstaining for a week, and i've also read a good bunch of posts where people have admitted that masturbation was the sole/primary cause of their acne; and by cutting it out for a few months they completely healed their face. good luck & have fun:)

I been abstaining for 2 weeks and then stopped, because saw myself into mirror. When stopped abstaining and started breaking out, and realised that while i was stopping masturabtion i almost didnt breakout. Anyway 2 weeks cant show best results. So i am on day 4 or 5 cant remember, lets say its day 4 now. I feel verry horny and thats makes me crazy saywhat.gif i am still breaking out and spots not healing. I will update soon!

So far it's been 2 days, things are looking good, only one or two new spots that I can tell, old ones are slowly but surely shrinking.

Acne takes a while to form though, so if I break out more within the next week or so, I won't be discouraged.
