My skin had been doing great for a while and then something happened a few days ago, and now every single mark on my face is inflamed. I definitely don't know what it was, or even if it was in my control, but I am starting to suspect that eating more butter may increase the hormones needed for more acne.

Those who cut out dairy and got results, did you also cut out butter? I cut out all dairy but butter.
I am just interested to see if butter can have a negative effect for hormones, possibly causing more acne and inflammation. Does anyone have anything to say about butter? Bad reactions, or really good results?

Never had any reactions to butter that I know off. You could try clarified butter where the milk-part of the butter is removed.

I'm not really sure. I have cut out all dairy but I tolerate small amounts of butter and other dairy without problems.

Butter still contains the hormones and bigger amounts can definitely cause some issues. I think ghee or clarified butter should be quite safe option.

I have cut out other dairy products but i never thought that butter could be the problem until recently, it has been 5 days since i've had any dairy products (butter included) and there seems to be a mild improvement after a bad initial breakout from when i tried drinking milk again. Now i'm completely dairy free and probably will be for life if i see that it keeps me clear. Probably for the best anyway, milk isn't meant for human consumption.
