I just want to share the 'Clean towel' technique - combined with the acne.org regimen, this has been very very effective at preventing my acne from reappearing.

The clean towel technique is basically putting a clean towel over your pillowcase every day. The idea is to always have a clean towel over your pillowcase before you sleep, so that any dirt/oil/irritant/other acne inducing stuff doesn't accumulate on your pillow/pillowcase.

I can't give the full article URL because the forum boards does not allow posting of non-acne.org URLs. I am not selling anything, any clean towel of the proper size to cover your pillowcase should work fine. If you are interested in the article, then I will PM you the URL/link.

Also, please reply here if you have tried it and if it worked for you.

We've had quite a few threads about using clean pillow cases every day, putting towels over pillows, and other ways to keep a fresh surface on your pillow.

If you type 'pillow' into the search tool, I'm sure you'll be able to find a lot of them. : )

[EDIT] Actually, after I ran a search, I realized just how many threads here have the word 'pillow' in them.

Still, here are a few threads I found on the topic of pillows/pillowcases and acne:

I change my pillowcase every night before bed. My pillow has a pillowcase on it to protect it. On top of that, I lay a clean pillowcase. (I don't put the pillow in it, I just lay it on it.) The next night, I flip it over. Then, the next night I put a new pillow case out, etc.
