has anyone tryed treating hypertrophic or keloid acne scars with silicone sheets? my son has terrible raised scars all over his back and chest from acutane, the acutane either didn't work or kept the skin from healing so the whole time he was on it his back and chest were constantly oozing and bleeding, had to change the sheets every day. Anyway it cleare up his face but his back and chest were left completely ravished by these raised discolored scars. I have seen the silicone sheets online and was wondering if they worked for anyone, they are a big investment and it would be good to hear from someone who has used them for this type of acne scar. i dont use silicone sheets but i heard Cicacare is pretty good.
I use silicone gel called kelo-cote... i think it helps a bit...

these sheets will work to flatten a raised scar. try scaraway brand, the best, very cheap, and efficient.

How does the sheet work? does it stay on for a long time?
And what if it isnt a scar but actually restylane?
Because im on accutane now and i had pretty much restylane in both my cheeks.
There are now several bumps (half pea size) that have the same color as my skin except from two of them that are more white. Can i make something worse with the sheets?

I'm using dematix for my raised scars in the chest, but it doesn't seem to help honestly.

accutane did the same thing to me. ive gotten scar resurfacing done and laser treatments and nothing really made it go away at all. good luck to your son

these raised scars are such a pain in the ass!the silicone sheets seem to work for a few hrs..ill sleep with it on and when i wake up its nice and flat then a few hrs later its back again!!i just want it gone!
