The first couple of days I've been really tired, but I guess it's expected since I have drastically reduced my carb intake. Hoping for the energy to soon return so I can return to the gym.

Good luck man.

One thing I'll add:

I noticed for breakfast you had meat and nuts. In my experience, and from what I've read before, it's very difficult for the body to digest these things simultaneously (resulting in bloatedness, gassiness, acidity). Maybe you don't have that problem (I certainly do though). So take that as you will.

I really wish I had the willpower you do when it comes to food.

Make sure you put progress pictures of your face on :ninja:

Yeah, I'm going to admit it's not been easy sticking to the regimen, but I've managed so far. The last couple of days i've had some serious cravings for carbs as my body isn't used to this very low carb intake. It's been hard especially avoiding the fruits.

Also, I've been on Vitamin B5 for 6 months before, so feel free to ask me any questions

Good luck man.

Thanks for sharing that. Actually I usually don't eat these two foods together so I don't think it will be a future problem.

On a side note I will be adding in some eggs into my diet. I've had diarrhea etc. from eggs before, but I think it's time to try to consume them again. went organic for the eggs.

I will be adding some kefir to my breakfast the coming days:P

As of today I'm eliminating nuts as I think they might be causing problems for me.

Ever heard of CandiZyme?

There's a guy on another forum and this is what he said:

"Try something called CandiZyme or Candex for Candida. This stuff is quite different from the anti-fungal supplements that people take. For a long time I had rosacea and a lot of problems with my eyes, dryness, redness plus lots of itching and dry skin, headaches, chronic feelings that no doctor ever diagnosed as any one thing. One of them "unofficially" recommended the following diet/regimen to me and I have been in his debt ever since that day. It literally gave me a new lease on life.

I went on a strict, no white sugar diet(no white bread/no white sugars/fruit/carbs in general period) and took garlic supplement, grapefruit seed supplement, pycogenol and caprlyic acid. I cycled these out as to prevent fungal resistance after awhile with olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, apple cider vinegar and udecyclic acid.

I saw some amazing transformations early on, lots of die-off reactions, inflamed skin, headaches, but I regained energy I hadn't felt in years, each day I felt better and better but it wasn't until I tried Candizyme that the real progress happened.

Yeasts/Fungus all have cell walls primarily made up of cellulose and chitin. These are their first lines of defense, and are really able to endure all kinds of conditions.

Most anti-fungals crash through these walls like a cannonball, wiping out the yeast slowly but not before the yeast releases off a lot of toxins into your system, which causes the die-off reactions which can range from acne to headaches to flu-like symptoms. This can greatly slow down the cleansing process by blocking absorption of nutrients and causing chaos in your body.

Candizyme is a collection of enzymes such as cellulase and lysozyme. The cool thing about these is that they actually eat up the fungus cell wall, leaving it with no protection against your immune system and certain death. On top of that, the cellulase swallows up the whole cell wall, which shocks the hell out of the fungus and prevents most die-off reactions.

I only used it for about 10 days but my condition improved greatly. I was on this diet for about 2 1/2 months, it wasn't easy but it worked. My rosacea is about 90% gone, my dry eye condition has mysteriously vanished and I have never felt more energetic nor vital."

I'm trying to get my hands on it, but I live in Ireland and I can't seem to find an online company that delivers it to here.

wow, that sounds great and thanks for the info. I will look into that product and probably order it. Hope it's not some guy affiliated with the company who makes candizyme who wrote that.

I'm still waiting to get my NOW Candida Clear and NOW Olive Leaf extract supplement in the mail too.

How are you doing with your diet?

Adding a pic of todays breakfast

1 huge tablespoon butter

I just watched the movie "Food inc." and I think everyone who reads this should take a look at that film. I already try to buy as much organic as I can, but the biggest problem for me is buying organic meat/chicken, the prices are literary insane compared to the non-organic products. I'm willing to pay somewhat more for organic products, but I'm not willing to spend twice the money on meat each day.

Hi there.

If you read around regarding anti-candida diets you'll see that butter is actually recommended by most people as the only dairy product. I use it mainly for frying chicken etc. since I don't have extra virgin coconut oil at the moment, which is probably even a better choice.

Regarding that it contains lot of fat. You are going to need all the fat you can get on an anti-candida diet.

Yeah I've emailed the guy asking him about that product - I'm pretty sure he's legit.

So far I'm doing great. No tiredness whatsoever. One problem: sometimes I notice a slightly strange taste in my mouth... have you had this problem? I figure it's just my the effects of my body transitioning to the influx of protein and fat and the sharp reduction of carbs.

On a side note I will also add to everyone that's thinking about doing anti-candida to look into leaky gut syndrome. The two seems to be closely related and after the first month on anti-candida diet I will also try to do something about the leaky gut.

My skin seems to be doing pretty good even though I still get some breakouts. My digestion is in a bad mood today and that's really fucked up since I haven't eaten anything different that might have aggrevated it.

Breakfast:

Cauliflower

3 onions

3 carrots

400 grams oragnic beef

butter

oregano/basil/salt/pepper

Garlic/ginger

How long are you planning to keep this up, beforing transitioning back to a more "normal" diet?

I'm thinking about 10 weeks as a testing period - if I'm not seeing any improvements during this time, then sadly I gotta give it up.

Agreed, I'm thinking something like 3 months, slowly adding in more supplements. Whether I continue the diet after that depens on the results.

Edit: Also I'm considering quitting the Psyllium Husk as I think it might be causing some digestive issues.

I've heard someone on the primal diet describe psyllium husks as "garbage".

And another guy said:

"Taking psyllium husk is a two-headed dagger towards yeast/fungus infection. Candida thrives on putrefying, slowly-digesting food, the faster it digests, the more difficult it is for Candida to feed off of it. The Psyllium husks are rather hard and thick and as they move through the digestive system, they scrape the inner walls, not extremely hard, but enough to pry things like toxins and the very Candida fungus which love to live in those areas."

I don't know.

I started talking them 2 weeks ago and don't seem to have any major problems...
