During accutane did you breakout in that area? If so...then that could be why.
It isn't the worst thing in the world. Take care of your skin for now and maybe one day get a subcision if you feel necessary.

Comparing both photos, I think I almost kind of see the second one already there before. It's kind of hard to tell. I'm not trying to be patronizing, but are you sure the lighting isn't just kind of messing with you or something? The legitimate condition that can cause what you're describing is supposed to be extremely rare. But at any rate... Have you gone to a doctor? Sorry if I missed that part before.

What are the chances of 25 cases in 100 yrs, yet suddenly all of you on acne.org have this. It is statistically not possible.
Furthermore, Lamarrs doctor said this is very common? Is his doctor smoking crack?
There is no association with accutane and fish oil causing scars. IF ANYTHING OMEGA-3 REDUCES INFLAMTION. Reduction in inflamtion means less tissue damage, thus less scars.
This thread is freaking people out for no good reason. NONE of you have it.
If you really really believe you have adult onset AMVC, then go to a doctor. WHy sit around and let new scars post, then come here and freak out.
But what are the chances of this thread popping up, then all these people having this EXTREMELY RARE disease. In almost 100 yrs, less than 25 documented cases in the world.
Come on now.
Furthermore, If accutane in conjuction with fish oil caused this disease, you can bet thousands of people would have this disorder.
If you research further, you will find that it is not "exactly spontaneous." Do your own research and you will know what I mean by this.
I'm not trying to be rude, by people are freaking out for no good reason. I'm confident that not one of us has this.

Thanks Lamarr...Okey I will buy the 24 hour histamine, hopefully they have the 24hour kind here in Sweden?! Regarding to my diet, I haven't eaten anything particular lately, but I do have eaten more sallad with dressing more than usual. Just did some check up on the vitamin a levels on the sallad i have eaten, and they are very high, maybe this is creating problem. I do take a multivitamin(yes with vit a in it) but I have done so for about 3 years. It seems like I eat a lot of vit A rich food unfortunately....

When Lamarr enlighted the AMVC condition I think people got aware of that such a thing actually exist. Maybe some people are are imagining that they are developing scars, but I think most people are telling the truth. I strongly believe post Accutane users are very prone to develop AMVC.

My sources are not wikipedia thats for sure.
What bugs me is when someone says an extremely rare disease is actually common. Then this same person makes a diagnosis saying fish oil with accutane is the cause. Now this same person has a possible cure, histamine blocker?
Give me a break. If you are not able to do your own research beyond google and wikipedia, then I suggest you stop listening to me, and everyone else. Go to your doctor, and let him enlighten you on the real details of this disease.
If I had scars popping out of nowhere, I wouldn't be arguing with people on here back and forth. I would be at the doctors office asap.
I sent you a kind email, trying to calm your nerves, because you seemed very upsett you had this disease, and you replied back calling me a "f*cker."
Very nice of you.
If you must really know where I get my sources, I used a publication search engine only available to UCLA students, researchers, professors and doctors at UCLA med. It searches every possible publication imaginable, it goes through every journal, then it provides full access to the publication, not just ABSTRACTS. Most research universities offer full publications for free to students.

It would be nice if you'd site your sources, since you're basically criticizing everyone in this thread. Other people have cited their sources.
And, although I didn't do much research, of the few articles I did read about AMVC, most of them noted that the condition is likely under-reported, since many people tend to pass off the scarring as having come from something else.
I'm not saying anyone in this thread is wrong or right, I'm just saying. ; )
[EDIT] Also, I'd just like to remind everyone that the board rules apply to PMs as well as the forums, and that if anyone is violating the rules, the issue needs to be taken up with the moderating team so that we can deal with it appropriately. Please don't hash things out on the boards. : )

Praisethelord, I hope you don't get any new scars. I expressed my opinion, your best bet is to go to the doctor.
My final thoughts. Don't listen to anyone here, and don't purchase any home treatments someone might be selling here. Get a professional educated opinion from your doctor.
However, you expressed even your doctors won't give a sh*t. So I dunno what to say.
I'm not here to argue.

On another note; stop staring at urself in a dark room with a flashlight over your head man. These kind of scars nobody will ever notice but yourself. If I look at myself (and I bet almost everybody here) in that kind of lighting, I wanna jump of a building.

I stopped getting acne like 2 months into my accutane course, well I actually almost got ridd of my acne before accutane, but got on it to be sure to never get acne again! Btw what kind of a lesion would give such a long linear scar? Cant be common atleast.

Wrong.
I have spoken to dozens of people who have suffered this, in part due to accutane but also due to large doses of vitamin A or omega 3 and 6 from sources such as fish oil, flaxseed etc.
I suffer this if i take either fish oil or flaxseed oil.
