I'm not sure. I've switched from white bread (which I used to love), because I read in so many places it could trigger acne.

I can't say I've noticed a massive improvement just from the bread alone - I've changed so much stuff recently that it'd be impossible to pin-point what, if anything, is improving my acne - if it IS improving, that is! sad.gif

I figured I HAD to eat some kind of bread, so I'm only eating wholemeal bread now. Though I read that a high carb diet is also a bad thing, so I'm cutting down even how much I eat of all bread now.

it's really if it's WHOLE grain or not.

anything refined is pretty much deemed bad.

interestingly enough if your allergic to parts of the wheat, white bread will be better for you because those parts not as present in the bread.

nitsujdark?

I've tried alternating between different "types" of bread and haven't noticed a difference at all. It doesn't affect me.

Try ezekiel bread (spelling might be wrong), but you can find it in the frozen section of a health food store. It is the least processed bread out there. Its basically still living because its heated at very low tempatures and is close to being raw. They use sprouted grains and such to make it. No gluten at all and it taste very good and is so good for you. Also Mana bread is yummy, very sweet, but its because of teh spouted ingredients it is sweet.

Most people who are on the Atkins diet (low carb, low glycemic... white bread is very high on the glycemic index) tend to notice improvements on their skin. Unfortunately insulin spiking (from by eating high glycemic foods) will cause acne or worsen it.
