I don't feel like I can do this anymore.

Read your signature!!! You can do this, whatever this is. Just focus on something good, something or someone that you love. Talk to friends -- that always helps. Sometimes, I don't even have to tell them something is wrong. Just starting a conversation will help to cheer you up!

Thank you!! wub.png

You! Yes, you. The one reading this. You are beautiful, talented, amazing and simply the best at being you. Never forget that.

You don't have to be pretty. You don't owe prettiness to anyone. Not to you boyfriend/spouse/partner. Not to your coworkers, especially not to random men on the street. You don't owe it to your mother, you don't owe it to your children, you don't owe it to civilization in general. Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked "female."

Plea to the world: Eat less meat! Or better yet, don't eat it at all! The meat industry violates basic animal rights, it's destroying our planet, and there are so many health benefits you can gain by decreasing/eliminating meat from your diet. Don't let me tell you- do your own research so you can decide for yourself. (The dairy and egg industries are just as horrendous).

I highly recommend watching the movie Earthlings. ^

Been using rather warm (basically "hot") water on my face for a solid minute or more in the shower for the past couple days, and all my acne is drying up. Face isn't oily at all. Who'da thunk?

i would ask u to be careful mate.

hot water is actually working against the good sebum layer thats protective.

u dnt wanna lose it forever.

luke warm is alright but 'hot' -needs attention!

I never normally eat bread as it is something that causes me to break out. However yesterday, I ate an egg mayo and salad baguette and this morning I`ve a couple of zits on my cheeks. Physiologically, it is supposedly impossible for a spot to form withn 24 hours but I am convinced that if I eat certain foods/beverages, spots can appear within hours. Does anyone else experience this or am I completely mad?

I always think that I'm over-thinking things when this happens because it seems crazy that a spot could form so quickly - but I'm sure that if I drink too much caffeine I'll have a few breakouts the next day. Same goes for too much dairy and alcohol. For coffee and dairy my skin overall seems worse the next day (breakouts could appear anywhere) but for alcohol I'll almost always have a spot on the bridge of my nose/between eyebrows the next day. These are all foods/drinks that I rarely consume anyway but I think I can tolerate a small amount without a reaction in my skin. It seems to be like a 'threshold' effect... a small amount is ok but get to or over the threshold then it shows on my skin...

Next time your friends want to go out - you should still go out with them. But if they want to be eating sweets or other food/drink that you'd rather avoid because it might break you out, then you don't have to eat/drink it. If they ask why you're not, tell them you don't want to spend money on it or don't have the money to spend on it or are trying to save your money or that you're on a health kick even. You could also be direct and tell them about your skin but I can understand if that's not what you wanted to do (I'd be too self conscious to be so direct)

Hopefully next time you can go out and enjoy yourself and have a good time with friends!

I have never been so self restraining .I was always a carefree boy who ate everything, did everything ...I lived on my terms. But now i spend almost 70% of my mental energy on circumspection. On deciding what to eat and what not to eat.Life has become a narrow tunnel where only one train can possibly pass. The train of acne.

Living a life where you have to think before doing anything makes you a volcano. You can unpredictably erupt anytime. And the eruption comes with disastrous consequences. And this time i erupted ...i just lost control and indulged in unhealthy heating. :(  with visible consequences.

I have a really annoying zit right now, right near my bottom lip. It's not that huge and came to a head within one night, but it's taking longer to completely flatten. I NEVER break out right near my mouth, so this is really, really weird and random. And irritating, of course. But at least it's gotten smaller, and I think in a few days it'll be flat. It better be anyway because I'm going on a trip later this week and I'd like to not worry about acne!

Other than that, the rest of my skin looks really good. Milk of Magnesia is working really well as a primer and I think the Spiro may be starting to kick in a bit - not sure. I know I have to give it more time. But thankfully I've been less preoccupied with my skin, probably because I'm busier with work and online classes. Even though I have a zit right now I'm not feeling all ugly and depressed like I usually do.

Hey everyone, I haven't logged on to my account in days because I have had the most stressful 2 weeks of my life. Please pray for me or do a hex removal for me or something to  help me make it through this stressful time wacko.png

Supplements: inositol, DIM, digestive enzymes [don't need them every day anymore, only on cheat days], herpanacine & vitamin C with rose hips [not every day], regular sun exposure for vitamin D3.

Lifestyle & Skin Care: Low histamine diet, avoiding unnecessary stress, balancing skin's PH (using Image Ormedics), using distilled/ filtered water to wash face, occasional high frequency facials... (although I have been slacking lately)

thanks! I hope so, I'm trying to keep it together...it's been one thing after the other, with no break in between. I hardly got any sleep in the past week from stress, it was just a snowball of unfortunate events. On top of everything, I'm pretty sure I got scammed online and have received a blackmail email, so now I am also worried about my privacy and safety. I have been dealing with filing police reports and changing bank accounts and all that on top of it. The blackmail is what scares me the most. How did my life get so messed up in a matter of days? I just came on here to vent, not even the police can do anything to help me. I don't know if there's anything else I can do about it now, I just hope nothing else will happen. eusa_pray.gif

Even though I've been pretty slack with following the regimen this past week, it does seem to be slowly helping my skin. I'm not getting as many deep cyst / papule type pimples like I usually would and they're less frequent too. I'm getting a number of tiny whiteheads though - which is strange for me and they are annoying but I'd still rather them than the deep pimples I'm used to.

I'm still job hunting and not having any luck. I really need and want to find a job soon. Hopefully I do find one soon but it seems like it'll be tough.

Not feeling too bad. My skin isn`t perfect (never is) - I have one or two spots on my face and neck but I can live with that. Going to see my nephews and sister later and I`m looking forward to a nice Sunday roast dinner. May sound a bit silly but because of my pre-occupation with diet and my skin, a roast dinner is something I would normally avoid. If I can eat a roast dinner and not feel guilty about it, that is progress for me.

This is what I'm wanting to know too. My understanding is that with prolonged use of BP, it can stop breakouts from happening (not just clear existing spots) but I haven't found an answer about whether it can stop hormonally driven acne or whether it just lessens / controls it a bit.... (I hope it can stop it though because I think that's my main issue...) But I think if it were to stop (or even control) hormonal breakouts, you would still have to have used BP for quite a while before you'd see the effects.

If you find anything more helpful or a more definite answer, let me know! :)

Great - thanks :) I'm still pretty new to using the regimen, and even though I've used BP in the past, I'm still not sure how it effects hormonal acne.

Great - thanks smile.png I'm still pretty new to using the regimen, and even though I've used BP in the past, I'm still not sure how it effects hormonal acne.

i'd suggest u shoot this question in regimen forum.just mention 'bp' specifically(not aha or the jojoba oil for they have other specific functions).

its apt for u will get a general idea from experienced users.

direct me a link btw.

i have also started a thread.lets see if i get any answers from those with hormonal acne.

From my understanding and the way you're describing it, it sounds like it really needs to come to the surface so the bacteria can get out.  It's basically an infection.  It sucks. I'm sorry. I say this as I have one on my jawline right now too.  Very painful, hard bump underneath the skin with the surrounding area a pink/reddish color. My derm has said the best thing you can do is get a cortisone injection to prevent scarring.  Whatever you do, DO NOT TRY TO POP OR SQUEEZE IT.  The cyst so deep under the skin, trying to pop it could push the bacteria further down and make it worse.

So... I know that sounds pretty depressing and may leave you thinking, "So is there anything I can do?" I tried something that may help and seems pretty harmless (it won't make it worse):

Mix 2 tsp baking soda + 1 tsp water.  It will turn into a paste. Wash the affected area with warm water.  Apply the paste to the affected area and leave on for at least an hour, if not overnight.  I read that the baking soda can neutralize the pH.  Now...I take this with a grain of salt for everything I've said above:  the cyst is deep below the surface so I'm not sure how the baking powder can help, but I don't think it's something that would cause more damage, ya know?  (Source of this treatment: Livestrong)  I gave it a shot recently, and didn't notice much, but it could help others!  I'd still try it again.

Another option that I may try today for my ugly and stupid cyst is mixing aspirin and water, which also forms a paste, then apply that to the area for only 10 min.  The aspirin is an anti-inflammatory so that may help too.  You could try taking  a few ibuprofen orally, but really, the cyst has to come to the surface. sad.png  I wish that wasn't the case because I HATE HATE HATE them with a passion, but the bacteria has to go somewhere!

BP can work to prevent, but once you have one, it's hard for BP to reach the source of infection.  I plan on visiting my derm tomorrow for yet another injection.  \\

I hope this helps!  I know it's difficult.

and now, a under-skin hard bump is scaring me(on the other cheek).

the spot is slightly red and i can feel it if touched.a hard bump under the skin, like an upcoming zit.

i think its hormonal.

i applied bp last night.

does anybody here know if bp can STOP an upcoming spot from coming, even if its hormonal?
