haha I looked dehydrated up in the urban dictionary and I don't see myself as being that. I'm not confused when it comes to women in general it is/was just the bad boy thing that was slightly puzzling. =]

Lapis I get this feeling that your dehydrated......
Girls aren't hard to.get is all simple basic stuff
Take it step by step don't try to rush everything in one day. Even if you get into the friend zone situation you could flip it around, if I recall I turn 2 friend zone situation into a friends with benefits type.
Sometimes the problem is guys start thinking to much get all worry nervous etc , just let it ride
And if it didn't work NEXT.

P.S

Feeling good, maybe beach next week smile.png

Well that's unfortunate. I don't think I misunderstood you though after you explained what you meant further. I never meant to annoy you.

All the best.

Lapis, you're just digging too deep, hang on words too much, instead of thinking what a person really means. It kinda annoys me to talk to you, I have to admit wink.png   So i leave your further interpretations to yourself.

Im actually feeling really good today. I feel less stress and anxious too considering I stopped my anti depressants. I truly think the Spiro is working now and also the topical I started a few weeks ago has passed its initial breakout because I tell you my skin was a mess last week!

But yea, wow. I can't believe Im feeling good about my skin - I never thought I'd ever say that.

I started using the MSM cream! After all the positive reviews I read, which were also confirmed by the pharmacist, I bought it and started using it yesterday. It immediately popped and healed a new whitehead I got on my chin and I also applied it on my blotchy scarred areas. I'm very positive about it! :)

I have an advice for those of you guys, who are concerned about dating and finding a girlfriend. I used to date A LOT some years ago and have met all different kind of guys. Some of them rejected me, some were rejected by me. Those I rejected had one feature in common and I think I'll speak on behalf of the majority of girls (or close to that) when I say, that the most repulsive thing about a guy you just met is his despair to get a girlfriend... Even when you chat with such guys virtually you can feel how over-enthusiastic they are and it's not attractive. I think many girls stop answering after a while.

So the advice would be - don't sweat it! Let them wait for your answer for a day or two sometimes. Don't overwhelm them with goodnights, goodmornings, 100 sms asking what they're doing and never ending compliments. Another thing, there's no need to open up completely - if you tell everything about yourself while you're still chatting, there won't be any mystery when you meet. Also, it's a bit awkward if you tell them all about your childhood's fears, acne struggles and undisclosed desires before you even got to know them or started dating. Be a bit of a "bad guy" (doesn't mean you should treat anyone badly, but just keep it interesting!) An attractive person has a bit of the dark side, because plain goodies are just boring. smile.png

That's my advice! I'm no expert, but I was told have an analytical mind when it comes to people's behaviour! And I had a lot of short-term dates (it's easier for a girl) tongue.png So you can trust me...a bit tongue.png

I know girls like bad guys who are loud fun., and who does crazy things. Unfortunately, I am not like that. I want to be always nice.  It depends on a girl!! Some like bad guys and there  are some who doesn't. I find loud people rather annoying ! I want a nice girl, so I am sure they will want a nice guy. I am not saying that I am boring! I like to have fun and joke around. I do have a good sense of humor. Your advice is good though!! I should be a bad guy once in a while, but I will be careful not to hurt their feeling.

lol... I've heard a lot of women say that. And I still wonder exactly what they mean.

Girl: So do you have a bit of a dark side? gimme.gif

Guy: Uhm... I dunno.

Girl: Come on you have to be a bit of a jerk sometimes?

Guy: lol No, I can't think of anything.

Girl: Are you ever dishonest?

Guy: No.

Girl: Have you ever been rude?

Guy: No.

Girl: Stolen a cookie?

Guy: No.

Girl: Thrown a puppy on the highway??

Guy: lol.gif Yes, I did do that one time.

Girl: Awesome! hifive.gif

I mean... What exactly do women mean when they say a guy can't be 100% sweet or else he's boring? Could you guys girls give examples? For instance what do some guys do that's "bad" that makes them attractive? Let me know. smile.png

If a girl thinks it is awesome for animals being abuse, I will never talk to her, ever! ^^ Sadly, this does happen.. I learned  that real men don't abuse animals.   So there's a good dating advice for the ladies.. not to date men who abuse animals! :D

I am at least 100% sweet and it is actually a good thing! People will like you and take advantage of you, Aargh!! but at least they will think that you're nice and will trust you.

Feeling pretty awful... I almost called out of work because I don't want anybody to see my skin today.

It's looking the worst it has in years.

Don't take words so literally, I wrote "A little bit of a bad guy" and it doesn't mean he's a bad crazy person, treating girls like shit. I wrote so clearly that it's not what i mean... What I meant is that it's nice when the guy is a bit playful and doesn't overwhelm you with sweetness and desperation. And who the hell talked about animal abuse?? You guys are weird...

Nothing is good, when it's 100%. It's one dimensional! I can tell you that it's bloody awesome when a sweet guy you just met shows a bit of bitterness sometimes - when he expresses some sarcastic opinion, makes good jokes and can be cynical sometimes. Especially when he has self-distance and is relaxed. Nothing is more awkward when a guy accidentally burps, says something wrong or doesn't get what you mean and gets all ashamed and nervous about it. And if you make a joke about it, it gets worse (this is a tendency for those extremely sweet guys, they're so nervous over just anything). It's so easy when you can laugh things away!

I've always been attracted to literal "bad boys".... as in, criminals, lol. I realized the other day that only one of my serious relationships (out of five) involved someone who hadn't spent time in prison. It isn't something I look for on purpose, but I always find it. Maybe because I have too much of an edge myself to date a "normal" person. My current relationship is a good example of what happens when you find a "bad boy" and move in and make a life with him. He's caused a lot of hell in my life, but he's never boring, that's for sure! The one boyfriend I had who wasn't "bad" really bored me. My current boy is a pain in my ass sometimes but I know if we broke up I'd just attract another bad one again so I might as well learn to deal with it.

Shy and quiet isn't necessarily boring. It can also make you seem very mysterious, which can be as attractive as a "bad" boy who is loud and wild. I had a not-serious fling with a guy who was really quiet and mysterious. He was a foreigner (Israel) and I met him while traveling in a foreign country so that was part of what made it romantic. He was sweet and kind but didn't seem to want a girlfriend at all, which hurt. But oh well, dating someone from a foreign country probably wouldn't have worked out anyway.

I'm not feeling so great today... I'm on week 5 of tretinoin .05 cream and in the midst of a break out.  I have a bunch of white heads on one side of my face and a huge zit (with another developing) on the other side.  I'm skipping classes today :( Also I realized that I graduate in a month... it will be so humiliating to have to be in front of everyone, my friends and family, looking like this if I don't clear up at the end of week 8 on tretinoin.

I'm feeling not-so-great about my skin right now. I have been stressed and hormonal and I ended up with some chin under-the-skin acne, damnit.

My skin has been the best it has ever been in the past couple months and now that I'm going through some changes in my life...I'm seeing my old skin coming back to haunt me. It really freaks me out.

I've been hardcore looking at the oil cleansing method-- or at least incorporating more oils into my skincare regimen. This is because coconut oil has drastically changed my skin and I want to see if different oils will help it out even more. I'm nervous about not using Paula's Choice products because they're what helped my skin as well. Ah...I'm torn.... :(

By the way, in response to all the relationship talk on here....I'm dating a very shy guy who I love more than anything. He has never been in trouble with the law and is very career-oriented. I like that he's genuine and cute and that we can talk all the time about intelligent, interesting topics. I find his shyness endearing and I like him the way he is--even his insecurities. I'm outgoing and love meeting new people whereas he doesn't mind not talking to other people in social situations (not saying he actively avoids people). Don't look for someone because they are a certain way....just look for someone who clicks with you. Don't limit yourself to a "type."

Aw,  thanks for this ! I feel better. Yes, I always wanted to be a mysterious, ha ha.  I'm actually learning more about being a mysterious, hah. Whenever I know the answer of a question, I don't answer it.. I let others answer it. It happens a lot in school ;\

Skin update: I stopped zooming it for spots because I don't care anymore! I don't get cysts or zits with whiteheads, so I am glad that's over. I do get spot with no white heads, but goes away very quick.

I've decided tomorrow that I'm starting the Acne.org regimen. I've got nothing to lose by starting it, and what the fuck, I figure it's worth a try. I'm not gonna be able to buy the products directly from the site, but I'm gonna pick up all the store-shelf items Dan lists as alternatives and I'm gonna follow it as religiously as possible. I'm on a pretty tight budget right now and I don't have money to waste on all of the products from the site. I think I might order Dan's bp though, pretty reasonable price and the tube looks huge (plus I doubt I'd be able to find any gel-based 2.5% bp anywhere in a store) but the cleanser and moisturizer I'm just gonna get from a store.

Yeah I was going to say, I can't speak for other lotions or cleansers but when it comes to the medication, you aren't going to find a better price than his.

Good luck! I'm excited for you! I hope hope hope that you get the sort of results I'm getting! :)

I've been using Epiduo for a long time now anyways so I figure the majority of my skin is already used to 2.5% bp...so yeah, I'm gonna give this a go and see how it goes.

I just started!  You should do a log -it can be therapeutic!  Here's to positive results for the both of us

Good luck to you! I ordered Dan's bp today, so as soon as it arrives I'll likely start a log. I chose the cleanser I'm already using, Clean & Clear foaming cleanser because it's listed on Dan's recommendations list, and for a moisturizer I'm gonna use Cetaphil for dry, sensitive skin. I'm excited to get started. I think this will be way more effective than my usual spot treatment regimen.

I find myself coming to this thread when I get a spot or two. I just got a tiny one on my cheek and I am beginning to think it is because I keep getting stressed at work lately. Do you guys find that stress is a contributor to getting acne??

Stress is a factor for me definitely (and I think it's one of the things that has been proven as a link to acne). My skin is doing a lot worse right now and I've been over-the-top stressed with my uni schedule and assessment due dates lately.
