eatting lemons?

13 posts in this topic

so ive read heaps of posts about people either drinking lemon diluted with water or using it as a toner type thing applying the lemon directly to the face but my question is...how bout eatting the lemon- as weird as that sounds i really like the taste of it so i have been craving it quite a bit and i was wondering if it was bad for me in any way because of the stongest of it? I have also found an obsession in limes and i have been reading up on the properties of these fruits and they seem to have a lot of vitamins in it- so it cant be bad for me right??

Kizza, I thought I was the only one. I love limes and lemons, too!! I eat them when they come with the meal or in water or in mixed drinks. I don't think it's bad. It might hurt your tummy cause it's so acidic but I don't think it would be unhealthy for you.

Sadly, I feel lemons as if they were oranges and eat them alone or with alittle salt.

The only problem that I can see, if you eat too many, is the acid in the lemons may make your teeth alittle bit yellow. AS long as you brush and do that sorta thing you should be OK.

I LOVE LEMONS!

That's true...lemons are acidic in nature, but once processed and digested, their "ash" pH becomes basic.

Plus, if you drink lots of lemon water, you rinse your mouth with baking soda every night so the acid doesn't eat away at the enamel in your teeth. This rinse tastes kinda nasty, but I just so happened to have baking soda peroxide colgate toothpaste.

I wanted to try that, but I have an extremely sensitive stomach and Im worried about the acid eating at my tummy tum. Since its diluted do you think I'll be OK?

Go very, very light on the lemon to start with. Even just a dash. Don't use it if you're tummy can't handle it.

Also, ingesting ACV is good for us too. Except the taste is kinda funky. Lemon helps with this.

I stand corrected. I just wanted to warn against the tummy ache that may follow.

I seriously damaged my teeth from snacking on lemons when I was younger, fortunately my adult teeth came in and I wised up, but seriously, be careful, enamel is very important, and when it's gone it's gone.(I think?)

That's why you have to counteract the acid with a base like baking soda or something at the end of the day.
