Yesterday, I bought nearly 3 pounds of salmon which was previously frozen and near it's sell-by date so was reduced in price. So, it had to be cooked and eaten promptly. So I poached the whole thing and plan to eat it for most meals until it's gone. If there was ever time to do the Perricone 3-day facelift diet, this is it.

Last night I had a large piece and some sautéed greens.

Today for lunch I made a sandwich with it on a toasted wheat kaiser roll with most of the inside scooped out. Which I had with mustard, onions, and some romaine. Munched on some red bell peppers and carrot sticks.

Tonight I will heat up another large piece and have with steamed broccoli.

Baked banana with a few bittersweet chocolate chips inside.

Also, this can't be stated enough:

Everyone should be aware that not everything posted here are good choices and some may be fine for some people but not be for you and your personal food intolerances or health issues.

In general, you want to eat nutrient dense foods that are as whole and unprocessed as possible so mostly vegetables, fruit, fish, chicken, eggs, etc. Keep dairy and processed grains like things made out of wheat flour to a minimum though some people will need to avoid those things completely. Or you may need to avoid completely some other food. This is something you have to figure out for yourself by trial.

And you want to eat those foods in moderate to low Glycemic load meals. This means combining high GI foods with low GI foods, keeping the high GI foods to a minimum and not binge eating. This applies to drinks and snacks as well. All meals. But nutrients, sleep, muscle mass and physical activity all affect how well your body manages blood sugar. Those things can affect how strict your diet needs to be.

[ Story: Severe Acne since I was 10. 10+ years of Dermatologists, Antibiotics, topicals and ACCUTANE did nothing. Discovered oranges triggered the worst of my cystic acne = about 70% improvement. Tried some nutrient supplements like B-complex with zinc and C, saw palmetto and a BHA like the aspirin mask = more improvement, a lot less oily. Then, Diet changes = Clear.

Regimen: Anti-inflammatory, nutrient dense, blood sugar stabilizing diet and supplements (for hormones, inflammation, aging, health). No soap or other cleanser except for hand washing! Water only or Oil cleanse. Aloe Vera mixed with niacinimide and a high linoleic acid oil for moisturizer and reduce pigmentation.

Diet effects acne in so many ways: hormone balance, inflammation, Insulin levels, digestion, allergies and intolerances, liver function, adrenal function, SHBG levels, sebum quality, cell function and turnover, nutrient deficiencies, body fat, etc. Basic advice: Eat, sleep, supplement and exercise like you are a diabetic. And eat real food!

OMG... alternavista, I will be purchasing some salmon ASAP... i'm daydreaming about baking the skin ahhh =) I was munching on carrots and bell peppers today as well.

I have become such a foodie. I mean, I know we 'have' to eat 'healthy' for our skin, but I just finally feel so satisfied with my diet. Everything is friggin delicious.

To eat today:

egg, stevia, salt, ghee..beavertail egg

roasted red pepper omellete with hotsauce and ghee

carrots and PB, cream and strawberries

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...is it bad that I am turned on by this? no? no!

Also, I baked the most killer banana bread today for the fam. My dad gets pissed if he buys bananas and no one eats them. I really kicked ass. My sister who is moody actually moaned after having a sliuce after work. She put a layer of butter on it...THICK, with brown sugar on top and from the other room I hear a hearty and sincere 'ugh that was sooo good'. !!!

Since finishing my salmon, I've had:

Veggie stir fry over quinoa for 2 meals. I always cook for at least 2 meals, and usually enough to put some in freezer for another meal next week, to help keep variety when I've bought different foods that need to get eaten up.

Stir fry consisted of Garlic, ginger, onions, cabbage and broccoli, because that's what I had, with a little soy sauce and and soy aminos.

Broiled tilapia and tomatoes, with steamed broccoli.

2 Green smoothies of romaine and kiwi with a teaspoon of chia.

Romaine and apple salad with sprinkling of pomegranate, sunflower seeds and some other nuts.

Desserts of baked banana with a few bittersweet dark chocolate chips or broiled nectarines with chinese 5 spice powder and a little yogurt.

Breakfast is baked oatmeal and apples or steamed sweet potatoes with cinnamon. Or banana and berries topped with yogurt and granola like mix heavy on the nuts and seeds.

Snacks of red bell peppers and carrots. Steamed sweat potato with olive oil and spice blend with a lot of cayenne. Like what the sprinkle on 'seasoned fries.' I prefer it with thin baked slices, but it's warm right now and I don't use the oven when it's warm.

I havent eaten that much today. So far Ive had broccoli with a very small amount of soy sauce, rice vinager and sesimi oil and six cod fish sticks. I also ate some cantalope, a bottle of carbonated water, and a bottle of juice.

My regimen changed (starting 5/16/09) and I am not a happy camper

Anyone who has a problem zit thats having a hard time healing, try this and let me know if it helped you. Mix one tablespoon of sea salt with three tablespoons of warm water, apply to a cotton ball or a paper towel. Apply to the zit for ten to fifteen minutes, and then wash it off.

Breakfast- A honey-dew Melon

lunch- 10 bananas and a salad

afternoon snack- Big bowl of porridge (rice milk)

tea- Salmon with a huge salad and baked potato

drinks- Green tea mostly

"I wish there was some way to go back and undo the past. But there wasn't. There was nothing we could do. So I just stayed silent, and tried to telepathically communicate how sorry I was about what happened. And I thought of all the grief and suffering and fucked up stuff in the world, and it made me want to escape. I wished with all my heart we could just leave this world behind. Rise like two angels in the night, and magically... disappear."

10 Bananas! WTF

i woke up late today, so lunch was at 230pm

egg yolk, ghee, salad of lettuce, peppers, cucumber, olive oil and salt

supper

egg, red pepper, ghee, salt, bragg's apple cider vinegar

snack

rice milk, unsweetened apple sauce, bragg's ACV, earl grey tea

SO far my triggers are nuts, dairy, most fruit (testing apple sauce and rice milk today), vegetable oils (olive oil is fine), fish (found this out recently), possibly chicken and definitely too much red meat. I'm thinking of trying a low fat, low protein diet.

I just started BCP and supplementing with raw ACV at meal times.

Ah, since you just messaged me about this, I'll tell ya what I had today!

Breakfast: Two slices of whole grain toast with vegan butter and sugar free jam. I had that with 2 mugs of Yogi green tea (the super antioxidant formula!)

Lunch: Two eggs and turkey bacon. The eggs were also fried in vegan butter.

Dinner: A massive bowl of steamed mixed veggies.

Post dinner snack because I'm home alone and bored: I took two soy yogurts, one blueberry one raspberry and put them in a bowl and lightly swirled them together. Then I put a bunch of blueberries and strawberries in the blender and hacked them up really small and poured it on top of the mix.

it was awsome.

That's sure a good diet to gain muscles. :P

But no salads? ;/ or veggies.

Best way to make your skin smooth and clear eventually:

Plant-based diet is the best medicine for everything.. That's if you consume at least 80% raw, mainly from veggies and fruits.

Exercising: cardio is great for skin and lifting a bit.

Thinking positive and try not to stress or think about acne.

I am doing these and my skin is currently very smooth and clearing up!

I am a vegan raw 100%. I feel better, have more energy, saving animals a year, glow skin, I look younger, etc.
