Hi guys

Want to know if it's ok for me to alternate between dermarolling and laser spaced 6 weeks apart? Is that ok? unsure.gif

Appreciate the reply. TQ.

meme..I dont know. I am not doing laser..you may want to message forum member (DudleyDoRight) I believe he is rolling and doing laser..not sure how he is going about it..so message him and see what he can suggest from his experience..

peace. smile.gif

yesterday I rolled for the 3rd time..its been 3 months since I started roughly..used the 3 row roller this time..I acually was used to the larger roller and did not like the way the 3 row roller worked..but the bottom line is the results will determine if I like one over the other..I rolled my face really well with it thou...My face is nice and red and will be for a week like the other times..

I have needled 4 times..my larger deeper scars have been pretty stubborn thus far..my scars have filled in a bit so I did not have to needle as aggressivly on some..and I did not have to needle as many scars..some of them the roller can hit now when before it would not have done much..

used copper peptides pre and post roll..I think the cp's are starting to push out some of my damage..I am going to be doing weekly peels with a medium strength aha..and I'm going to purchase exfol to use daily..still using emu oil also.. the peels will start back up in a week..

I consider one phase of this done..the first 3 month phase..now we enter the second phase..hopefully from here the fresh new collagen starts really building up..only time will tell but I am hoping for the best..I have a long long way to go..but I am better today then when I started..so thats a positive..just going to continue doing what I am doing..busting my ass and doing whatever it takes to improve my situation..

just to update..I had a pretty bad breakout after my last rolling session. My only guess as to what caused it was my skin just reacted poorly to the aggressive nature of rolling..again, its just a guess because I really cant find any other answers???

so I have been working on getting it under control..getting there little by little..I acually contacted forum member adella because I know she had delt with this recently..she gave me some great advice that has really helped.....

I expected some new scars for sure from this. some advice given to me was to use emu oil..I use it anyways but I smothered it on the worst of it..the ones that I expected to leave new scars..I put the emu on as often as possible each day and so far its saved the day..

I have not done the scheduled weekly peels because this has prevented me..will hold off on those until I am done dealing with this.

I have stuck with cp's, exfol, some spot treatments with emu and a stronger peel..hopefully the worst is behind me...its been a bit hard to deal with this because its a set back but I am working to overcome it and I will..but I am very thankfull for the help of adella and a few other people which has made a big difference I feel.. wink.gif

I still get a bump here and there, some blackheads ect.... but I was good when I rolled and stay pretty clear for the most part....had no active acne when I rolled. the days after I rolled I seen some bumps I thought but it was hard to tell with the redness..then bam, I had broken out just like that within the days and weeks that followed the rolling..

I am moving forward now thou.

you are saying you had a "break out AGAIN"? Where exactly on this board have you stated that before?

Please fill me in with your ideas of how EXACTLY dermrolling created this "scar causing" breakout?

But hey kid, you're in good hands! adella is defiantly the person you want to give you the answers when it comes to the subject of dermarolling causing 'breakouts" ...just make sure to use extra Vaseline for a thorough job!

Please keep reporting on your progress or should I say, lack there of.

Be good kid and remember....Reading is fundamental!

BTW, I'm looking forward to following your progress and the information you put out to others!

Peace

No I have not had a break out like this before..this was the first time. I dont know excatly what caused this as I stated above..I only guessed as to what I thought may have caused it..

adella gave me some helpfull info to help my breakout and it has helped..if you have a problem with her thats your deal..I dont have a problem with her so I dont feel the same way you do about that..if somebody is nice enough to offer me good advice I take it and I appreciate it..its just that simple.

I am not here to fight and argue or any of that..just help those I can and help my self..and I will continue to work at improving and that wont change...

you could maybe get a acne lamp and use it to treat your acne while on your scar treatment.

well do everyone here a favor and don't "guess" or in anyway associate your breakout with "aggressive rolling". The theory is nonbelievable and quite frankly warped.

To say it seems ODD that you all of a sudden mention you have a new breakout but make reference as having one before from rolling comes across as...shall we say... a bit preposterous?

The only people to associate rolling with an out of the ordinary breakout are you and that adella.

Coincidentally you two also have a similar back in forth over at the SkinBio forum. This time she is all over the place as to here progress and and understanding of the products themselves.

Like I said, I look forward to following along in your progress and will be very quick to point out complete and utter nonsense when I read it.

Dermarolling is by far and across the board the most effective treatment for scarring for most people with the least amount of cost and risks associated with it. The second one or two cackling crows try to take away from that fact with contrived bs, is the second I will step in to call them out on it.

BTW, I chose to stick around here for one thing... to help. I get more PMs from people reaching out for answers and direction thaen I care to mention.

In all honesty I would just prefer to move on ( and would have moved on LONG AGO). I have gathered, research and applied all the information I need to make my end result a total success.

both you and adella need to stop acting so pathetically immature and chill out.

why is getting a break out from needling such a preposterous idea? A break out can be caused by a number of things, including messing with your skin in any way. Lots of people seem to break out after having laser, for example.
You acting like youre the know all of needling, and discounting any experience that might make needling look less than perfect, is not helpful to anyone. Besides, munsoned never claimed needling was ineffective because of a breakout.

Anyways, munsoned, i hope you dont get discouraged, and am glad you are posting your progress.

Whats your thoughts on it? Thanks for the help man.

Luis figo and megaera..thank you guys for the support..it means a lot to me. smile.gif It was discouraging megaera..But to have people on the forum help lift your spirits back up and get you moving back in the right direction is truly inspiring to say the least.

Hope your guys treatments are going well for you to..

you need the blue wavelengths betwen 405-420nm for the active acne. As for the breakouts, i believe less is more with this. Doing peels, AHA, etc etc between rolls isn't needed..... stick to one or two topicals MAX.

Use bactroban post needling for a few days, test it on a small area of your skin for a few days first, so you know how you respond to it. Then use it post needling to prevent the breakouts.

A stretch of 5 days twice daily application is fine, but like i said make sure the ointment itself doesn't cause a reaction. We all have hurdles, just have to find a way to jump over them!!

Hey Lamaar...yeah the peels never happened. I stayed away because the breakout just kept me from doing them. and I think I agree that the peels just are not going to fit into this equation. my skin is just to busy healing the whole time after I roll to throw anything else at it. I have kept it to two topicals since the breakout. alittle spot control with a couple products when needed but nothing else. keeping it pretty simple.

I am just about ready to get an led or several if need be..I am amped about getting them! I definitely want the blue included so I can keep the breakouts under control. I think I read you mentioned the led guy is putting together one with everything?? my bad if I am wrong. but if so thats awesome. perfect for us folks right.

I will pick up some bactroban for my next rolling.

I really appreciate you stopping in and offering me some help. And of course I really appreciate your uplifting words man. it makes all the difference for me. You're the man my friend..Keep up your outstanding work. smile.gif

Munsoned,
thanks for the posts. I have just started rolling with
a .5 mm, just seeing initially how I respond, and getting
technique down.

I have .5 mm, 1.0 mm, and a 1.5 mm rollers. Does this
sound plausible??..... to roll with a .5 for a while to gain
confidence ( 2 months). Move up to a 1.0 for a couple
of months, then start 1.5 rolling. For some reason I am
petrified with the 1.5.

Also, the .5 REALLY caused me a lot of pain (I've only
rolled once). Was that the case for you?

Do you use a homemade vitamin C ? I am mixing
my vitamin C power (a good one) with water and putting
it on when I roll? Sound OK? I have a ph meter so
I can check the ph. I read a ph of 3 is good. I'm debating
whether to buy a vitamin c serum to use or use the vit c/h2o
mix is ok.

I'm curious. After 4 months, what kind of progress are
you seeing?

Hope its not too many questions and thanks for sharing.
Best wishes

Alittle update..I purchased a blue and red led..so gonna add that in the mix. its about time too. Been waiting along time to add this in. I am going to be using both no less then 4 days a week.

I acually spoke to the led man. He was going to hook me up with a blue/red combo..I found a large virtually brand new led blue/red lamp localy at a price to good to pass up. I spoke with the led man and I am still going to purchase a infra/yellow from him in the next month or two once I have the cash.. He was very understanding and totaly cool. my goal is to eventually get all the led's lamaar suggested. just gotta get em when I can afford them. but I am getting to the place I wanna be which is as close to lamaars program as I can.

So I am going to use the lamp for a bit to help with any breakouts ect.. before my next roll... So lets see what these led's add to the equation. Its exciting.
