thanks!

can't believe this blog still exists, and can't believe its been almost 2 years since I started it. Time flies..!

Bumping it in case anyone wants to read a complete blog (literally day by day account lol)

Just want to add that I've had perfect skin since finishing, no recurrences, maybe once in a blue moon the odd small spot. Can't remember the last time that happened though.

Goodluck guys

back for my yearly "bumping" of the thread. Wow I'm startign to get old now tongue.gif 2008 seems so long ago!

For anyone who wishes to read, this is a full blog with a day by day account of what I went through when takling the pills.

Since finishing my course sometime in April 2009, I have never broken out again. Just the odd tiny spot once in a blue moon. And I had it pretty bad before decutan.

Goodluck to everyone on it and believe me it will be over sooner than you think!

Wow, I can barely explain how I feel right now.

I have the feeling inside, that you often get when you finish something like an amazing book or great TV series.

I've read, from line to line, every single thing that has been written in this thread and all I can say is that I can't wait to reach the point that you are on right now.

^ This does look a little creepy when readying it again.

I am currently starting on the 3'rd month taking 30mg a day. I've seen a lot of improvements on my skin but I can barely look into most 'bright-lighted' mirrors, I avoid them to be more exact hehe.

Although I am unsure about one thing, there is this moisturiser that I use on the dry spots I get after shower, I don't cover my whole face with it. But like 4 days ago I covered my face with it, a think layer if you will, 2 days in a row. My doctor told me that it wouldn't have any effect cause the med has such a strong effect on the skin.

Despite that I got 5 quite big pimples with white spots on top of them, I felt really bad going out in public but I did not pop them !:)
They are all fading away now though, did this not happen to you ?

But yeah I felt like I had some insight in your daily live reading these blogs, don't normally read blogs but I had to get more perspectives on Decutan hehe.

But congratz on the great success and I hope mine will be the same !

It was weird jumping from 2008 to 2011 in a few posts and it got me very curious about how your doing in general ?

You finished Uni and stuff I guess, you found a decent job or ?

I feel extremely creepy asking you this since I don't know you at all !, but I feel like I do from all the reading haha(This might be the Decutan talking).

Well, you might answer this or not, but all I can say is that reading through your blog helped me a lot and it was quite entertaining I guess. It has helped me see the light in the dark in therefore I thank you and may you have a great live ! smile.gif

hey!

Thanks for the reply, I'm really happy to hear it helped, even if slightly. Means a lot!

Have not finished uni yet! Coming into my 5th and final year... pretty terrified!

Believe me when I tell you it will all pass by quicker than you can imagine.

I'll upload a pic so you can see how I was when I started taking the pills and a few after pictures, taken roughy a year after stopping.

Any update with your moisturiser pimple problem?

4.5 Years Later

Time is flying by at an alarming speed.

I feel like I need to return here once a year. My acne has never returned. Over the past year, however, I've become really self-conscious about my scarring. Unless I have perfect, soft lighting, it looks pretty bad in certain parts of my face.

Might finally look into laser scar removal courses, although they are probably too pricey - I wonder if anyone has any information on how well these things work, if at all.

Wish you all the best of luck in beating your acne!

Yearly bump :)

I just cannot believe it's almost been 6 years :(

And at the time I thought those 5 months of taking decutan would never end
