so, i've been using cetaphil gentle facial cleanser these past 2 months or so while on accutane and feel like it doesn't help much.

my mom just went to the store to pick me up some ceraVe cream mosturizer and the ceraVe facial cleanser. thought i'd try something different, seems like theres a lot of good reviews on it.

anyone using ceraVe have any luck with it?

CeraVe is great, I use the moisturizing cream once a night usually, though the lotion is also good. I used the cleanser for a while but I didn't like it as much as Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser so I'm back to that. I feel the moisturizer is overall better than the cleanser, the lotion may be better for you since you're on accutane. It definitely helps balance my skin tone a bit and locks moisture in well. You could give the cleanser a try for a few weeks if you don't like Cetaphil. It's gentle and never broke me out, I just prefer an even more gentle cleanse since my skin is dry from winter but in my experience the whole product line is great.

CeraVe cleanser/lotion combination has worked wonders for myself. Cannot say how I feel about Cetaphil due to the fact I used the lotion once (pre-Accutane) and I felt it to feel really oily and rather icky, but I'm sure that could come into play once your face becomes ravaged by the dreadful dryness of Accutane.

From my experience the Cetaphil gentle cleanser was the better cleanser, and the Cerave moisturizer was the better moisturizer. So it was a mix for me...

cerave is better for cleanser and moisturizer. the ingredients for the cleaner are better than cetaphils. theres no SLS in cerave.

i have so many products...it's insane.

well...i DIDN'T really like the CeraVe cleanser...it felt like i was rubbing lotion all over my face and rinsing it off...it left a weird filmy feeling and my face didn't feel clean at all.

i bought the CeraVe lotion like a week ago and i've been using it some nights...it's pretty decent. personally, i wouldn't use it during the day because it can feel a little heavy. if you use too much, it can feel sticky. i'd recommend it though. it's decent.

i used to use the Cetaphil GENTLE cleanser...i didn't like it at all...it had a weird consistence...and just like the CeraVe it didn't make my face feel clean. it doesn't lather. i would not recommend this cleanser. it's funky.

i am CURRENTLY using Cetaphil daily wash...i like this one...

I LOVE my CeraVe. I have NO problems with it.
Cetaphil made me look like I had just dipped my head in a bucket of grease.

What about Purpose face wash and lotion. The face lotion is oil free and has spf 15.... has worked really well for me. Been on 80mg a day for the past month now.

Lips however are SOOOO dry and painful...red, raw, always peeling. I use aquaphor all teh time, have tried a ton of other things... anyone have anything that worked really well on their lips besides aquaphor
