Hello!

Has anyone experiene skin discoloration after getting there blood drawn. I had my first blood drawn last week and I new something didnt go well because after I had my injection, my arm was swollen which normally i dont experience. It was somewhat painful when you put pressure on it for two days. Now on the third day, i looks normal but the area where is was injected is still visible. After getting out of the shower today I noticed a black skin disoloration on my arm. I am not sure if it is a coincidence but it looks like a bruise near and the surrounding area where I had my blood drawn. Has anyone experience that? It's not painful at all its just that I am concerned. To me it looks like one of those stains a mechanic would have on his hands after work. Its not that dark but it looks more like a bruise. Its not swollen but I am not sure what it is. I tried scrubbing it off but nothing worked.

I think I;ll just see what happens in the next day or so. But any suggestions for now?

I appreciate it!

Here is a photo of it guys. If its a bruise shouldnt hurt when i put pressure on it? I am so concerned. Plus I had my blood drawn 4 days ago. Do bruises show up after a couple of days? It doesnt hurt. I am so scared.

Those bruises typically don't hurt. It's really just blood gathered up under the skin.

I've had some pretty ugly ones. They turn a different color every day. You might even see green in a few days.

Hope this helps,

P

I have a big bruise at the moment. I got it on the 6th, I believe, and since then it's gone from blue to green to purple. Like everyone else has said, it's normal. sideways.gif
