An alternative for jojoba oil?

5 posts in this topic

Can jojoba oil replaced with another oil (like olive oil, almond oil, grabe pit oil ...) cuz in my region jojoba oil isn't available. Can I replace it with any other oil??

You could look into Emu oil which has near enough the same effects as Jojoba.

You could also try Camellia Kissi oil.

Camellia Kissi oil has the highest concentration of Oleic acid (Omega 9), approx. 80 to 85%, whereas Extra Virgin Olive oil has approx. 77% and Emu oil approx. 40%.

Oleic acid regenerates and preserves skin cells, and is purported to be able to transport natural bioactive compounds directly through to the outermost layer of the skin - the epidermis.

Here's some info. on Oleic Acid

and here's some info. on how bioactive compounds work.

Thank you guys for answering me!

What is Emu oil exactly? I haven't heard any thing about it!!!

And what if none of Emu and Camelia Kissi oil weren't available, either?

How about olive oil? I have heard but never tried hazel nut oil is ok but some people have trouble w/nut oils, also organic coconut. I just got some jojoba oil. Are there any health food stores by you? They usually carry it. I got mine at Trader Joes that just opened in my area.
