I read a lot of good reviews about this mask on makeupalley.com so I decided to try it just now. I know some people add other things like honey, egg white or lemon juice but I just used yogurt alone this time. So far by itself it has made my skin feel tighter and it looks less dull, so far so good. I cant wait to try it with other ingredients, has anyone tried it before? How did it effect your skin? Has anyone used it to wash their face before because I read some people have done that too.

I do once in a while. And I'm going to try it tonight. I just had some kind of rash which I managed to keep to a minimum on my face with tons of aloe vera, but still the skin is rough and everything I've try to do about that just irritates.

I do this twice a week and its my holy grail. I'm hugely prone to comedonal acne and this is the only thing that works for me.

After a horrid trial of Retin A my skin is so chemically sensitive now it's ridiculous. So that kind of ruled out using MaMa lotion or Green Cream. I found this to be an easy, gentle, and cheap alternative. Granted you have to use it a little more often but to me it's worth it not to go through the chemical processing again.

I have a lot of other tips on things you can do to get better results but you shouldn't do too much too fast, otherwise your skin will look handled like hell and you'd need a break from all products.

I hope it works out for you!

I've just started doing an Avocado Yogourt mask weekly. It's working great for anyone who has acne prone skin. If you have dry skin this is definetly good for you!!! For oily skins like me add some lemon in and its great!!!

Are you talking about a homemade yogurt mask? And if you are what type of yogurt do you use?

What are some of your of your other tips? I love tips! I'm going to try this. I love remedies that can be found in your kitchen! smile.gif

Yes they are talking about a homemade yogurt mask. I read about it on makeupgallery.com one girls regimen went like this: two serving spoon sized scoops of non-fat yogurt [ low fat might moisturizer better. i'd be afraid to try fullfat ]
three teaspoon squirts of honey
a long squeeze of lemon [ about 4 seconds tops ]
MIX TOGETHER. remember to just refridgerate after use! yogurt will be fresh for about a week. maybe 5 days. maybe more. but the other ingredients might slow so i'm not sure.

You can read it about here: http://makeupalley.c...ted_Brand/Masks

After reading this thread I decided to try this. I did it tonight. I liked it. I just used the yogurt and didn't add anything yet. It tingled a little while it was on. My skin is smooth now and it's a little peely - not sure how happy I am with that - I thought it would moisturize more. I may try regular yogurt and not low fat.

I had that flakey skin in the beginning too which lead me to the following routine:

Wash face as normal first
Apply an exfoliating scrub of honey and baking soda and use gently for 1-2 minutes
Rinse of scrub and wipe excess water off face
Dip 3 fingers into a tub of yogurt (about 1 tablespoon) and apply to face
Leave on yogurt for 45 mins or until dry
Rinse yogurt off with warm water and bare hands
Dry face and do the rest of your routine as normal

The real miracle worker is the manual exfoliation before the chemical exfoliation in the mask. This may be too much for some but for those who have more dead skin than they know what to do with, this is a wonderful thing.

Oh, thank you for the tip! I may try that in a few weeks, because I don't want to shock my skin. It's pretty sensitive.

You leave it on for 45 mins? I left mine on for about 15 mins. Do you think it's better to leave it on longer?

Btw, I LOVE the way my skin looks today! It looks smoother and more toned and it glows a little. biggrin.gif

For my skin it is but if yours is sensitive take it by increments. The first month only leave it on 15 mins, then the next month do 30mins and so on.

Hey Saphire82 your from ND? Me too. How are you liken this sucky weather!

Back to the topic. I tried the yogurt mask last night, didnt notice much of a difference, but I think i'm going to try Eryka's regimen since I've also been using baking soda. It'll save me a process anyways. eusa_dance.gif Thanks for the tip. If you have anymore please share them biggrin.gif

That sounds like a plan!

I love this mask... I had to wear less makeup today. It isn't a miracle or anything, but it does help. I may put in some avocado tonight.

What kind of yogourt is everyone using?

I'm using the Astro Plain Yogourt. It has no sugar just milk ingredients and active cultures.

I read somewhere that Goat's milk yogourt is even better or using milk powder.

It didn't do anything for me or maybe the effects were too minimal for me to notice. The yogurt sure does expire fast. I loved how cold it felt on my face though wub.gif

Hi onlyme...yeah Im from ND....oh yeah Im just lovin this weather, this morning was -35 outside without the windshield shock.gif ninja.gif ...pretty ridiculous but I guess we set a record and it hasnt been this cold since 100+ years ago

Anywho...Im not sure this does too much for my skin either...I dont feel that it moisturizes at all...if its supposed to?, the peeling possibly might be from the lactic acid which is an AHA but I cant imagine that it would be strong enough to make your skin peel. I guess Im giving this a 2 out of 5 rating eusa_boohoo.gif ...I feel like Ive broke out more since I started putting this gunk on my face. The only time I think ill use this again is if I get sunburned or maybe if my face feels hot and inflamed.

Just wanted to mention...It's actually the "wind chill factor" not the "windshield factor" but that's a common mistake. *grammar ninja slinks away* ninja.gif

I've stopped using this, because it started to break me out. I will use it again, just not every day. I loved how my skin texture looked with this.
