Hello...Im not Dan (duh..lol) but I always wash my hands before i was my face. As long as you soap up and wash them well..I see no need to dry your hands before you wash your face. Just my 2 centerinos.. biggrin.gif

Yes. Always wash your hands before touching your face.

We're all in this together.

I always wash my hands with an antibacterial soap before washing my face. I'f I'm in the shower then I still wash my hands using my body wash (which is also antibacterial...it's the dial antibacterial body wash).

I see no need to. When you wash your face with your hands, both are getting cleaned at the same time.

That's the point, clean hands mean less bacteria on the hands. Yes, there will always be some bacteria on your hands, but it's good to keep them as clean as possible, especially if you have open pimples that are bleeding.

washing your hands take about 5 seconds...it probably took longer to make this post than it takes to wash your hands actually, so why not just wash them everytime youre gonna touch your face?

You should wash your hands. His cleanser is not anti-bacterial so it doesn't kill the harmful bacteria on your hands.

Acne
My little friend
Haunt me until the very end
Now I say, and you must hear
I weep for you my lovely dear

Fear me my lonesome foe
My mind has lost you long ago
Belittle me
No, belittle you
Infect everyone but ghost a few

Your time has come, your time is near
Drop dead and disappear

If you don't wash your hands, little p. acnes bacteria will come flying with their scathing torches and prick little holes into your skin to infest and do their damage.

But no seriously, it doesn't really matter.

Wash your hands to "feel" clean, don't wash your hands because you're cleansing anyways...................Will this issue ever be solved in your book?

I dont know if Dan does, but i sure know that i do! razz.gif Its very important to wash your hands before touching your face, because if you dont, you can spread germs and bacteria to your face which can cause breakouts.

Not Dan, lol, but I never wash my hands. Not because I don't want too I just don't feel the need to. I always work up a good lather with my cleanser before I wash my face so I would imagine any bacteria on my hands is pretty much killed before the cleanser touches my face.

I always wash my hands before I do my regimen - I don't want dirt and grease from my hands to mix in with the cleanser. I feel like it would lose some of it's effectiveness.

i always wash before cleansing.... just makes sense to avoid spreading oils and bacteria to your face

Started Clavaris 5/21/2012 for chin cysts and cystic acne on my back. I'm a 21yr old male with sensitive combination skin (extremely oily t-zone). Been on antibiotics for 18 months and remained fairly clear on my face but my back is still breaking out, and the antibiotic is losing affetiveness on face.

Month 1: 50 mg/day 5/21/2012
Month 2: 50 mg/day
Month 3: 60 mg/day
Month 4: 60 mg/day
Month 5: 60 mg/day
Month 6: 60 mg/day
FINISHED: 150 mg/kg

Routine: AM: - Acne.org cleanser

- DML Mousturizer
- Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar
- Aquaphor on lips
- Cerave AM Mousturizer SPF 30 (when outside)

PM: - Acne.org cleanswer
- DML Mousturizer
- Aquaphor for lips
- Gillette Sensor excel w/ Acne.org Cleanser

Other: - No dairy(for digestive reasons and acne)
- Good, balanced diet (limited fried food and sugar)
- Heavy weight training 5x per week
- Fish Oil, Calcium, and Multivitamin Supplements

i always wash my hands with regular hand soap before i wash my face, but before applying moisturizer or bp or anything else after that i just give them a quick 5 second rinse with warm water, not soap again. better to get any extra oils off your fingers before touching your face, especially if you are doing anything at all between regimen steps. you can get oil build up, germs, bacteria, etc. from touching anything. why risk adding that to your face?
