I use AVC in with the rest of my regimen (see sig) It has done amazing things for my face (texture and tone wise ) and I think was the biggest thing to improving my acne.

I need to start mixing the lemon juice in w/acv I though you put in on seperate after and it didn't do much... glad i looked at this thread again.

Edit - ok so i don't normally put it on at night, but i had to try it with the lemon juice so I just mixed up a new bottle 3oz ACV 1oz lemon juice (the kind you get in the little lemon shaped plastic squeeze containter hope thats ok) and 2oz water. I typically use a 2/3rd acv 1/3rd water mix on my face so i'm thinking this should be about right for me.
Washed my face and just tried the new mix and.......
WOW - NO bad smell!!!! Yeah!!!!!! As long as my results stay the same this is awesome!!!!!! The only negative to the ACV is the godawful eye watering smell and this totally takes it away!!!! THANK YOU!

I use to use this right before work. I use to sleep a lot during working hours and when I would wake up, I can smell the stench. It was so gross I had to go to the bathroom and wipe it off with a paper towel.

I'm definitely going to try this too.

I forgot, but it aids in helping the skin. In my opinion lemon juice helps more. It clears your pores, and lightens red marks really really well.

Mixed with a few drops of 100% organic tea tree oil.. it's a knockout.

Diluted in water of course

I'm really interested i'n trying out this ACV Regime, do you think it is more beneficial to apply externally rather than to take internally, I was wondering how to make up the mixture, I'm pretty useless with measurements, how many tablespoons of ACV say would you use for a single application to the face and what ratio to water would you recommend to mix it with in tablespoons?

any details on how to make up an application would be very much appreciated

Here is what I do, I'll paste what I sent out as a PM

Externally
QUOTE
I use 25% lemon juice, 25% acv, 50% water... then add in about 3 to 4 drops of tea tree oil. It feels pretty good, and then let it dry. It is balanced in pH and the tea tree oil is an anti-bacterial/ anti-septic/ anti-fungal too. smile.gif

The lemon juice and acv will fade scars, is a natural AHA so it will unclog pores, and help complexion.

The lemon juice negates any smell of the apple cider vinegar too so that's cool.

That should help.

I use about a teaspoon of each 25% part. Except the tea tree oil which is only a few drops

There are alot of people in the Diet forum that say they take it internally with good results. I tried it.. put just two table spoons in a huge glass of water.. got about 1/2 of the glass down and got soo nauseous I threw up. I won't drink the stuff but check out the diet fourms for tips or methods of taking it that way if you are interested.

Yeah, I took it with apple juice. Works well with gas and digestions, and apparently clears out the toxins. But I already eat healthy and it made me too hungry, too fast, so I stopped internal

Is this a good mix? I just tonight started and used 1/2 cup of ACV, mixed with 1/3 cup of tap water, mixed with 1/4 cup of lemmon juice? The ACV I bought says diluted with water to 5% acidity.

1/2 of it is acv AND lemon juice mixed

the other half is water

so it should be 1/2 cup water
1/4 cup acv
1/4 cup lemon juice

Or even more water, as this is the minimal dilution with water.

Add in a few drops of an essential oil (I prefer tea tree oil) some prefer jojoba.

If I start doing this 2 times a day, should I still use my other washes/crap or just stick with the ACV mix?

Use only a gentle wash, and buff the dead skin cells off. ( Do not use anything with SA or BP in it). It will be primed for this concoction.

Dip in with a cotton ball, and let your face drink it all in (through your skin) dab it on there, and keep soaking it.

But of course, you only need about a quarter of a cup each time. And since it's so cheap, it's okay smile.gif. Just make sure you close your eyes and protect it.

Once you get it on, let it dry, or sit near a fan, It won't be sticky, but it will dry properly and feel smooth.

Then once it dries, immediately put on your moisturizer.

If in the middle of the day you feel oily. Use an oil absorbing sheet, and then apply it again.

A good suggestion is use cold water for the water part, or keep the lemon juice and acv in the fridge, it will feel really good, especially on hot days. Same goes for your moisturizer.

I read that adding Green Tea with the ACV helps with the smell instead of using plain water just make some Green Tea and use that instead of water ... it may even give you fatsr results bc Green Tea is full of antioxidants and if you've notice alot of hair/facial/nail products are adding Green Tea,

Exfoliates/Balances pH/Dries Acne/AntiSeptic/Absorbs Oil/Prevents and clears up RedMarks and supposedly varicose veins. There is alot more but it's all in my thread.

It is the Malic Acid from apples that makes ACV such a great product for the skin. Malic Acid is a hydroxy acid just like citric, glycolic and lactic acid. Hence the reason its so wonderful at exfoliation .. and it is the acidic lvl of ACV which prevents acne bc acne can't survive very long in acidic conditions. Thats why using Baking Soda alone or just wahsing your face with soap can only make your acne worse bc both are extremely alkaline and acne thrive in alkaline conditions.

tea tree oil is an anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and an anti-septic. It works in replacement of BP, and doesn't damage skin like BP does.

The lemon juice will cancel the smell of apple cider vinegar so that's why I imply lemon juice. Adding it sped up the healing of my marks too.
