Okay, I was adding a few drops in with my moisturizer (Lac-hydrin Five), but was still battling dryness. Last night I applied the jojoba oil before BP like some do & noticed a huge difference this morning. My skin was much less dry & flaky. I massaged a good amount into my skin before BP again this morning too. The BP seems to rub in easier & dry faster that way also. Hopefully this is not compromising the effect of BP, but my skin looks better almost instantly this way.

This is weird. I put 5-6 drops on my hands, rubbed them together, then rubbed it on the face as directed, but I can't feel anything on my face. It seems like it just disappears. Is it supposed to be like that? eusa_eh.gif

Yeah it's really light! It doesnt feel like it's moisturizing much at first but after a few minutes I notice a difference. I use more than a few drops too; I use more like 5-6 large drops, but I also massage it into my neck.

I don't want to massage it though.. That might be a little too irritating for me. I suppose I just need to wait 4-5 hours now and check if it's still preventing dryness by then rolleyes.gif

I massage it like you rub in BP or moisturizer for CSR...very gentle. It works much better than if I just apply it & leave it. Maybe give it a few days....or maybe it just wont work for you, who knows.

yea, this is how Dan told me to do it, just put the drops into your damp palm and rub it around then massage it onto your skin before the BP.

That is what I am doing now and it works wonders, it all seems to be coming together now cool.gif . Hopefully I wont need to buy any "miracle cure" products for stupid money. Im happy that the products I now use are affordable, work, and are recommended by this site smile.gif

How big are the drops you guys use?

Also do you put it on before or after the BP?

And can you use it alone or do you need a moisturizer with it?

Finally, do you use a cottown swab or just put it in your hand and apply?

I just put 3 small drops into my hands( which are damp) and apply it to my dampened face (after cleanser has been washed off but not dried). Then wait till dried and apply bp then wait till thats dried and apply normal moisturiser

hope that helps smile.gif

Do you use one of those droppers or do you do it manually?

the dropper helps a lot. you can do it manually but its a lot harder

It should also be said that Piznti is a very smart guy, knows what he is saying. He may come off as cynical, but in the majority of cases being cynical is being logical.

The flip dispenser on my bottle, if you hold it upside down and just gently squeeze a bit, a perfect drop will come out.
I just drip 5 drops into my wet palm, mix it around, then massage it onto my skin. Then wait 5 mins. or so and apply BP.
Moisturizer after that is optional, I think, if you need it or are applying it for spf reasons. I do go ahead and use moisturizer after the BP still.

This is what I'm doing. I apply moisturizer afterwards as well because I want more spf. I don't apply any moisturizer at night.

I loooooove jojoba oil!!!!!!! I wasn't having problems with dry areas, in fact the complete opposite, my face was an oil slick. I've tried soo many things to not be so oily, from aloe vera gel to milk of magensia to oil blotting papers, all worked ok, but I still had problems. Jojoba oil is the only one to COMPLETELY matte my face. Honestly, it feels like a miracle!!! I'm so thankful I read about this on here!! Thanks guys! biggrin.gif

ohhh-- I tried this (I mix a drop w/ SPF moisturizer) BAD NEWS a huge amount of jojoba came out. It was OK, but my hands were REALLY soft that day. smile.gif

I recommend using a dropper that you can buy at any pharmacy.

I can't wait to get a dropper bottle - I've been looking everywhere....will head out to Whole Foods this week.

did anyone else experience a breakout or purging of comedones turning into zits when they started using jojoba oil? its working for eliminating my dry, flaky skin... but I am breaking out! Should I keep using it or stop? I need some reassurance here. Adding jojoba oil before BP is the only thing I've changed in the past few months (I am on Dan's regimen). The comedones were already there, now the clogged pores are becoming breakouts. Is this a normal purging or should I stop using jojoba oil??

How wet is your face supposed to be?

I cleansed, used the oil with very very little water in my palms(basically just moist) and then BP...I'm thinking about the moisturize after that or maybe just oil again after that?

Mmm...jojoba.

The lady at the store had to correct my pronunciation.

But otherwise, I'm loving this stuff. Two drops mixed into my Cetaphil moisturizer means no more crazy flakes for me. eusa_dance.gif

As an additional "plus", it helps to combat the dry hands I was getting from washing my hands so often while doing the CSR.

I got a breakout before using the jojoba ('cause I missed two days of the CSR due to papers and sickness), but haven't seen any new zits since.

hi i have a few questions here:

is it possible to just cleanse and apply jojoba oil without using BP? will this cause breakout due to over oily or not? i know its non-comdogenic but still am worried. i was wondering if i should moisturize and at the same time exfoliate first to let my skin heal before BPing again cuz its flakin bad and black spots appearing now

and also, i couldnt find jojoba oil in pharmacy. where can i buy that?

need help urgently...thanks! ^^

I had to stop using jojoba because my skin was breaking out in tons of tiny little comedones which would erupt into big red zits within a week. I dont know why this happened, I am strictly on the regimen with nothing but jojoba added so it must have been the jojoba oil. Just wanted to let you all know that jojoba doesnt work for everyone - know your own skin and trust what its telling you!! Fortunately, Dan's BP gel is helping me clear up the erupting zits, which I anticipate will continue breaking out for a while since the jojoba oil caused so many to form under the skin. Bummer, but the regimen will help get me back on track. I only wish jojoba oil worked for me, because it made my skin so smooth and took away all dryness. But the zits cancel out that benefit, so its back to square one.
