its been 7 months, my acne has improved a lot although i still get 1-2 small mild acne that go away every 1.5 weeks or something, and the more severe cystic acne is rarer.. still not completely "free" though.

I am wondering two things about the products I am currently using:

BP = Does this age skin prematurely? I've been thinking of stopping the regimen to control my oil production, and thinking BP causes my skin to be extra oily?
AHA+ = Does this also have any long term skin effects?

I am thinking of switching off to a Salycilic acid regimin to normalize my skin hopefully?
I'm tired of oily skin, and although this regimen does work for me, its really time consuming (won't have time in college), and does have some side effects (occasionally drying- peeling skin, oily skin, etc).

Any help from long time users?

Its been 9.5 weeks since I started the regimen. I used to be on Duac morning / Differin night with minocycline, but then then I broke out hella bad during the Aug / Sept Months and decided to change.

My current regimen:

Morning : Shower w/ cleanser
1 pump BP
Dan's Moisturizer + 4 Drops Jojoba

Night: Shower w/ Cleanser
sparingly use differin
wait 45 minutes
1 pump BP
Dan's Moisturizer + 4 Drops jojoba
(oral Septra)

I got one or two small outbreaks, but they do heal faster now.
My problem is my face is hella discolored compared to my body.

What should I do? I USED to be able to get pretty clear with duac, maybe I can use less BP??? I think the antiobiotics really help for the deep stuff anyways.

This wouldnt be a problem if i was a pale asian... but im a swimmer so... tan + red / not good at all.

Help appreciated. eusa_doh.gif

Been about two months, and my face is still really red. I dont know if this will ever go away. Thoughts? Ive seen other pictures on this forum and none of them have skin as red as mine.

EDIT: I also use differin at night, but ive been using differin for 1+ year and it has never given me red skin. So i feel like this is strictly from the BP.

8.5 weeks and counting, and I would say most of my face is clear, with some places that alternate on an off pimples. It seems like these are caused by the irritation of something, instead of just true "clogged pore" pimples.

I am thinking of backing down to less BP, and maybe just once a day eventually. I have been getting extremely red and dry skin, even with lots of jojoba and moisturizer, it still turns flaky. I feel like my skin pH isn't healthy, and that all this BP is killing a natural layer of protection that good skin would normally have.

Good skin shouldn't break out so easily. I feel ridiculous with skin that looks like its been through a chemical wash. So, I'm hoping to just naturally heal my skin, and use a thinner layer of BP until I can only apply once a day.

Thoughts?
