Today I went in for Sculptra Injections. My face is a bit swollen and bruised, but time will tell. I need three treatments which are spaced 4 weeks apart. I only paid $275. The doctor charges per cc. I had approximately 1.5 cc's. Will let everyone know how this goes. smile.gif

This is a very lengthy, but very good article on nutritional support for wound healing.

[b]I am so nervous! I woke up at 6:30 this morning because I can't sleep. My appointment is in 8 hours. I will post daily on my routine and progress. All I really know at this point is I will be taking Ativan for drowsiness, have local anaesthetic, and come home in bandages. I will also be taking Cefadroxil to prevent infections, and Tylenol-3 for pain. My bandage will come off in 24-48 hours. Then I have to soak my face with vinegar and water to prevent crust formation, and glob Aquaphor on my face to keep it moist. Sounds like a fun week for me! biggrin.gif/

I was wondering if anyone has tried this spray after a laser treatment, chemical peel, or other facial treatment? Supposedly, it is supposed to increase collagen, increase the growth of new cells, and increase the rate of healing. I had the Oxymist spray after my microdermabrasion, but I haven't used the other home products. Check this site out:

The pictures after the laser peel are amazing. Vaseline didn't seem to do much. I am planning on purchasing the Amino-Plex spray and use it after my 6th CROSS TCA treatment.

I just had CROSS (chemical reconstruction of skin scars) using TCA today.
The doctor cleansed my face, wiped the affected areas with acetone, and focally applied 100% TCA to each pitted scar with a sharpened wooden applicator. It was not painful, however, it did sting for a few seconds and then subsided. The treatment only took about 15 minutes to do both cheeks. Iced towels were placed over my scars for about 5 minutes, then covered with Aquaphor. This will be the first of 5-6 treatments, which has yielded out at least 70% improvement in the Korean article. I am very hopeful about this. biggrin.gif/

I am going to post my results for the full 5-6 treatments to let everyone know how it is progressing. I am in no pain---I have only a little swelling.
The doctor gave me some antibiotics to be extra careful not to get an infection.
