hey guys
so i'm still suffering from hair loss from accutane, i was wondering what you guys think of hairloss that occurs all over the body, including the eyebrows. does anyone have any advice? i also experience fatigue, sleepiness and other problems that seem to point to either anemia/iron deficiency or something else but i'm guessing it could be iron deficiency since i'm vegan? anyway, does anyone have any advice, ideas..etc on getting the hair to regrow? i would greatly appreciate it! thanks everyone

Hey guys,
I'm going to visit my doctor next week and I was wondering what do you think about going on a low dose accutane? I did take accutane at 40mg per day a few weeks ago but I didn't tolerate it at all. I am pretty much recovered now from the side effects, I still experience mild hair shedding and my doctor wants to put me back on accutane at 10mg a day. I'm just not sure if I want to risk it again, I am currently trying a holistic approach with vitamin supplements but I don't really enjoy popping 20 pills a day. I completely cut out dairy, processed foods, unnecessary sugars..etc and increased my intake of fiber, iron and zinc. At first I thought I was clearing up but then the accutane effect started to wear off and now I'm back to my regular oilier face. I'm just not sure if accutane is the right way to go.. I appreciate the help guys.

Can someone help me find a good skin care routine? My skin is somewhat sensitive and normal. Used to be sensitive and oily but after I started my vitamin regime, my skin improved. What products have you guys used while on the vitamin regime? I'm more interested in something organic or at least not full of substances I can't pronounce.

So I was on accutane (40mg) about two weeks ago and I quit because of hair loss and rectal bleeding. The side effects are mostly gone since my skin is as oily as it was before. About a week ago I started taking supplements because of all the great results I've heard.
This is what I take: Vitamin A (10,000 IU) - started taking it today, am a bit scared because of accutane Niacinamide (500mg) Zinc (45mg) B1 (100mg) B2 (200mg) Pantothnic acid (11,000-2,500mg) Biotin (sometimes at 300mg) B-complex (daily recommended dosages only) D3 (1,000mg) Magnesium (333mg) Vitamin C(1,000mg) Vitamin E(400mg) Green tea (3 times a day) My acne is mild to moderate, noticed some improvement (my skin feels REALLY SOFT and less tiny zits but I still have larger ones) using this regime. Works best when I spread it out through out the day. I need advice because I'm not exactly sure if it's safe to take this many pills.. It seems a bit excessive but I didn't really notice many side effects excepts this one time when a zit was bleeding, it kept bleeding for over an hour, however, that only happened once and my cuts heal normally now. By the way, I'm only 15. I think I should talk to a doctor but I don't want them to give me some lecture or persuade me into lower dose Accutane because I'm not going on that poison again! |
