  1. Hello. Im new to this site. First of all i wanted to figure out what type of acne i have. There are several small bumps i seem to get that dont go away. Been having it for couple of years and it just doesnt get better. also i cut the pill and im scared it might get worse ... How can i cure my acne and are there any other options than accutane or the acne.org Regimen? has anyone Tried estroblock? A side Info: i eat super healthy, keep everything clean and wash my face with african Black Soap. I never had perfect skin, it was worse during puberty but is still not in a good place.
  2. I dont even know where to start with my skin... I have clogged pores all over my T zone! Mostly blackheads on the nose and chin and then small little bumps visible in the light all over my chin, lips and some on my forehead. Sometimes they remain bumps and other times they turn into whiteheads and I have a breakout. Im feeling so bad about myself and Im so self concious. I had forehead bumps last year and it got cleared with isotrex gel.. I feel like its coming back now. My skin feels super dry after i cleanse and I use an oil free moisturiser but I dont know whether its over dry? I use a neutrogena sylacylic acid fash wash. Really hope someone can give me some help and advice I feel like whatever I do it either gets worse or comes back. I remove makeup thoroughly etc I dont understand where Im going so wrong. Its never hard spots - just lots of tiny closed comedones or whiteheads. Im 17 and this is really affecting me .. thank you
  3. Painful chin acne

Hi, okay so I need help from all the acne solvers out there in the universe. I am a 17 year old girl, and have had relatively clear skin my whole teenage life- even when I hit puberty. Except for the past year my face (chin especially) has been HORRENDOUS. In the pictures attached you can see what it looks like. It is painful as you can probably imagine and had been consistently like that for a year (as I mentioned before). I've been forced to wear tonnes of makeup just to cover the redness, and even when one pimple fades, a red mark is left over and a new one pops up. I've slowly become incredibly self conscious- to the point where I won't even let my family see me without makeup on anymore. PLEASE if anyone knows how to help ( without going on medication) Please do I can't deal with it anymore. I've been cleansing with Liz Earle cleanse and polish- which I've been using for my whole life, then using their toner and moisturiser. I've not used many acne treatments because they never even to make it better- only worse. Thank so much, your help is much appreciated! This is it not even at it's worst (baring in mind these NEVER clear up, has been constant for about a year now) :
  4. Tazorac + Doxy Log

Hi guys!! I'm an 18 year old trying to get rid of her acne once and for all I have suffered from acne since my freshman year of high school (mild to moderate). My acne was never really cystic - I had inflamed pimples and blackheads in my T-zone. Through trial and error over the years, I was finally able to clear my skin through using Retin A Micro 0.04% (RAM) at night, along with Aczone or Finacea in the morning (alternating each day). However, during the fall of last year, I began noticing closed comedones (whiteheads) on the sides of my chin. I began using the RAM in these areas. However, this did nothing, and my comedones worsened. They began to spread to the rest of my chin, on my upper lip, and in between my eyebrows. My nose, which has always had blackheads, became even more clogged. The worst part is that these comedones become inflamed zits and leave hyperpigmentation behind. I talked to my derm about this, and she upper my RAM to 0.1%. This did not help, even after 6+ months. She said that the next thing to try was Spiro, which I did not want to take. (I have, however, through my own research found that Paula's Choice AHA and BHA gels do help to reduce the clogs to some extent - see my routine below.) I recently switched derms. He is putting me on Doxycycline (75 mg) and Tazorac cream 0.05%. I am hoping that the Taz, being a stronger retinoid, will help to eradicate these comedones. I also think that my skin may be slightly resistant to the RAM, as I have used it for the past 5 years. Because retinoids have worked well in the past, I'm hoping that a different retinoid will shake things up and clear my pores. Here is a great link describing the differences between RAM and Taz: http://www.skinacea.com/retinoids/natural-vs-synthetic-retinoids.html#.UsjULODFXJw As of now, my skin consists of comedones on my chin, nose, between my eyebrows, and on my upper lip. My "problem area" is definitely my chin (esp the sides). I get the occasional random pimple, but for the most part, any inflammation comes from my comedones becoming infected. My current routine: AM Wash with Cera Ve hydrating cleanser Mix Paula's Choice BHA 2% gel with PC AHA 8% gel Cera Ve moisturizing lotion Aczone or Finacea (alternate) PM Cera Ve hydrating cleanser Taz 0.05% cream Cera Ve lotion *Take 75 mg Doxy with dinner I will be documenting my progress on both Taz and Doxy - partially for myself, partially because I have been lurking on other people's logs for a long time and find them extremely helpful. Please comment with questions, support, or advice Other Links: Facial Masks I Recommend:
  5. Hello everyone, this is my first ever post Basically, I started the extreme caveman regimen (nothing on my face) a week ago and within the first couple days, my skin seemed to be improving. But now, I'm breaking out with whiteheads everywhere and it's awful! Is it just my skin purging? My pimples are healing faster but my skin looks gross I also have started to get the dead skin mask and was wondering how long I have to wait until I can exfoliate it off. What were you experiences on the extreme caveman regimen? Also, how do I avoid getting my face wet in the shower? I don't have a bath.
  6. Please help, how long does the initial breakout on DIFFERIN 0.1% last? I've had breakouts since day one. I've heard people say you get 2 weeks of breakouts then I have heard people say 4 months of breakout? What was it like for you?
  7. Hi everyone, this is my second month on differin and I'm having a couple of cystic acne which doesn't come to a head, multiple pus-filled acne (which fortunately comes to a head) and lots of dark acne scars (a few which are still red and many others which are dark and grey). I get that there are initial breakouts with differin, but am I supposed to get cystic acne from this? Some of my cystic acne doesn't go away completely and stay as a bump on my face. Worse of all, there are the multiple dark grey scars which occur after every breakout! Right now I'm even afraid to meet my friends due to these scars. My dermatologist initially prescribed Differin for some small scars initially, but the application then eventually led to numerous whiteheads all over my chin and cheeks. When I consulted my dermatologist, she said that I have to continue applying it until all the whiteheads are cleared through breakouts. I was stunned to say the least, because my face used to be completely free of any acne except for a few occasional pimples before the topical application of Differin. To have numerous whiteheads and now all those cystic acne coupled with dark grey pigmentation is just baffling to me... and all these just happened within a few months of usage. If I would have known that differin causes breakouts, I wouldn't have used this for my scars at all. But the question is, should I continue applying Differin? I've been applying close to 2 months and 2 weeks now... and they say that I should give it 3 months for it to work. But right now, what I get are pretty much just adverse effects, and the initial acne scars (which was the initial purpose of applying Differin) have not really faded....
  8. Heres some background on my skin: I started getting acne at 12. I knew nothing about acne back then and used drug store acne products that didn't work all throughout middle school. Finally, in high school my mom took my to the dermatologist and i was put on topical treatments that didn't work. In my senior year of high school, the doctor put me on antibiotics and it was a miracle, my skin cleared COMPLETELY. I was finally so happy and I never had to wear makeup. After about a year on the antibiotics, they stopped working and all my acne came back. This is when i started to research skin care and acne really heavily and learned how bad antibiotics are for your skin. **When I was 19 I got on birth control hoping it would help my skin but it did absolutely nothing. (didn't make it worse or better). Ive been off the pill for 6 months now and skin is still the same*** I am now in my senior year of college (21 years old) and have done EVERYTHING. I use primarily natural and good quality gentle skin care. I use great brands like origins and bare minerals makeup. I wash and moisturize my face every morning and every night. I wash my makeup brushes and pillow cases every week and never go to bed with makeup on. I have mostly cut out all dairy (only eat it on rare occasions). I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and only drink green teat and water (i drink A LOT of water) I have tried probiotics and seen no results. Its so frustrating taking such good care of my skin and still having breakouts all the time, yet my friends, who eat whatever they want and have awful skin care, have flawless skin. (I'm sure a lot of you know the struggle) I attached pictures of my skin right now. I only ever break out on my cheeks and sometimes my chin, rarely (if ever) on my forehead. I have pimples on my cheeks at all times. My acne is either under the skin, or whiteheads. Im starting to think my acne is hormonal, because nothing else helps. Does anyone have a similar story or know anything that helps? Ive read that dermatologist aren't helpful with hormonal acne, so who should i go see? OBGYN? Who gives hormone tests? Also I've read a lot about PCOS and how that causes acne. I have a lot of the symptoms, EXCEPT my period is completely regular. Any advice is appreciated! If you got this far, thanks so much in advance!!
  9. Tri Sprintec Oily Skin

I've been taking Tri Sprintec for 8 months, after switching over from Alesse (Aubra) which was the worst thing that ever happened to my face. While my acne has become much more mild, I've noticed that my skin has become very oily and I'm almost always breaking out on my forehead. I have little whiteheads on my forehead all the time that may or may not blow up into red, painful pimples. My main concern however is the oiliness! It looks terrible as the day goes on and my makeup looks terrible as well. I'm wondering if this oiliness is caused by Tri Sprintec...has anyone taken Tri Sprintec or Ortho Tri Cyclen and noticed an increase in oil production and/or forehead acne? Thanks
  10. INVITING YOU TO MY JOURNEY WITH ACCUTANE...I AM 32 YEARS OLD WITH MODEREATE ACNE STARTED OUT WITH SEVERE ACNE AND THROUGH TACKLING WITH ALL THE CREAMS AND 3 STEP SYSTEMS OUT THERE I JUST CANNOT GET RID OF IT. THROUGH NUMEROUS VISITS WITH MY DERMATOLOGIST SHE HAS FINALLY GAVE IN AND PRESCRIBED THE ACCUTANRE FOR ME..YAY!! TRUTH IS TO GET TO THE MODERATE STAGE THAT I AM IN NOW I JUST STOPPED WITH ALL THE CREAMS AND ANTIBOITICS. I WENT STRICTLY CLEANSING MY FACE WITH CETEPHIL DAILY CLEANSER AND MOISTERIZING WITH AVEENO NATURALS AND MY FACE STARTED CLEARING ON ITS OWN, BUT NOT TO THE POINT I WAS SATISFIED AND WAS STILL GETTINNG BREAKOUTS. I GUESS I NEED TO ADD THAT I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH ACNE UNTIL HIS PAST 2 1/2 YEARS I HAD FLAWLWSS SKIN WAS SO PROUD OF. NOT SURE WHAT THE TURN TO WORSE CAME FROM BUT IT IS VERY DEPRESSING AND EMBARASSING. IT'S LIKE EVERYTIME I FEEL I HAD IT UNDER CONTROL SLAP IN THE FACE THE ACNE WAS LAUGHUNG AT ME LIKE " YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD ME UNDER CONTROL SORRY NOT THIS TIME TRY AGAIN..LOL " SO I FAUGHT THIS BATTLE ON MY OWN CAUSE I AM A FIGHTER AND I ALWAYS THINK I CAN TAKE ON MY OWN BATTLES AND CONCUR THEM SO IT WAS ALMOST 2 YEARS BEFORE I SAID ENOUGH IS ENOUGH TIME TO GO SEE A DERM. WHEN I TELL YOU I YOUTUBED UNTIL MY EYES HURT LIKE HELL AND BLOODSHOT RED LOOKING FOR NATURAL REMEMDIES TRYING TONS OF THEM, TO PROACTIVE, OVER THE COUNTER 3 STEP SYSTEMS, CLEAN AND CLEAR, NUETRAGENA, ETC YOU ALL GET THE POINT, THEY WOULD WORK FOR A FEW AND THEN OUT THE BLUE STOP WORKING SO WITH TRYING NUMEROUS THINGS YOU CAN SEE WHY I WAITING SO LONG TO SEE A DERMATOLOGIST, CAUSE I JUST KNEW SOMTHING I DONE WAS GOING TO WORK. OK, SO ENOUGH OF MY LITTLE STORY AND INTO MY JOURNEY. STARTED 01/09/2017 1ST WEEK..... I FELT OK JUST HAD THE WEIRD FEELING MY BODY WAS ADJUSTING TO SOMETHNG NEW. I CAN SAY AT NIGHT I EXPERIENCED SOME BLURRED VISION NOT TO THE POINT THAT IT WOULD PUT MYSELF OR ANOTHER DRIVER IN DANGER. MY COWORKERS WERE ASKING WAS I OK AS I WAS NOT MYSELF THE PAST COUPLE DAYS. I FELT JUST FINE, BUT THEY THOUGHT OTHERWISE. I HONESTLY THINK IT WAS JUST MY BODY GETTING ADJUSTED. ALSO EXTREME COTTON MOUTH, DRINK PLENTY OF WATER 2ND WEEK.... STILL FEELING OK, BELIEVE I HAD GOTTEN A LITTLE MOODY SNAPPING ON MY BOYFRIEND FOR LITTLE THINGS THAT DIDN'T AMOUNT TO THE POINT WERE I NEEDED TO SNAP. I HAD SLIGHT JOINT PAIN. ALL THE EPISODES ONLY LASTED A COUPLE SECONDS AND IT WAS OVER SO NOTHING UNBARABLE. LIPS BECAME CHAP SO I JUST WENT AND PURCHASED SOME BURTS BEES BRAND NATURAL CHAPSTICK. DRY EYES HAD TO GO BUY SOME EYE DROPS. 3RD WEEK UNTIL CURRENT DAY/TODAY.... FEELING GREAT NOT MOODY, NO MORE BLURRED VISION OR JOINT PAIN FOR NOW AND NO MORE COTTON MOUTH .STILL HAVE DRY EYES. IN ADDITION TO MY DRY CHAPPED LIPS MY CHIN AREA IS NOW GETTING DRY. I AM STILL USING THE BURTS BEES FOR MY LIPS AND I USE AVEENO NATURALS CLEAR COMPLEXTION DAILY MOISTURIZER FOR MY FACE AND CHIN. I WASH MY FACE ONLY ONCE A DAY NOW AS I FOUND WASHING 2 TO 3 TIMES DAILY WAS MAKING MY ACNE WORSE. I USE THE CETEPHIL CLEANSER FOR MY FACE AND MOISTURIZE TWICE DAILY. THIS HAS BEEN WORKING GREAT FOR ME. SO FAR SO GOOD.
  11. No solution works yet -_-

I had acne for maybe 6-7 years(idk exact years)! after consulting couple of dermatologists/doctors/skin specialists I cure from acne by taking lot of antibiotics & applying topicals. but after got rid of acne I have now (sebaceous filaments/clogged pores/ plugged sebum/ white gunk in the pores) idk what should I call it - for 3 years . I went to skin specialists/doctors/dermatologists but they couldn't get rid of that from me. its almost 1-2 years i'm searching for the solution of this problem by lurking here and on google. have found some solution but they didn't work for me. I have also lot of scars from my old cystic acne & skin picking habit. still I have skin picking habit. I really just can't give up that habit. I have to remove those white gunk/sebum from the pores, coz I feel much better. those things bother me much than my scars. I don't know I will got rid of those things or not. maybe I need to accept that and move on. difficult but no other choice I think. I m writing this here coz if any1 have exact solution for this problem will hopefully help me out someday. that will be much appreciated. btw sry for my english if I did any mistakes. I'm not a native English speaker. :3 And my advice for those who suffering from any kind of acne pls consult a doctor/dermatologist/skin specialist instead of lurking here or on internet. that will be better for you. one more thing never ever stop the treatment in midway.
  12. Hi everyone I need your help. I don't break out that often but now and then I get some inflamed white heads which I usually leave alone. Anyways my skin remains quite clear except for these pesky bumps!! They're smooth and skin colored but I can't figure out what they're from or what's causing them. Is it clogged pores?! They're mainly on my cheeks but farther back towards my hairline and sometimes on my jawline. I also use the head and shoulders shampoo&conditioner hats derm reccomended to wash my hair and I use Lever 2000 once a day at night. I exfoliate maybe once a week using LUSH Mask of magnamity and that's what I do. I try not to overwash or use too much because my skin is a little sensitive and I have a lactic acid allergy so no AHA's for me. PLease help as I'm so close coco clear skin but these bumps drive me insane cause it keeps my complexion looking rough and not smooth! Thank you<3333 aLSO a U can see, I have more on the left side so I'm sure what that means and I change my pillowcase regularly and clean my phone screen.. please help
  13. Since my acne has stopped forming I have been left with clogged pores, scarring and a bumpy texture on my cheeks. I do not get many breakouts anymore and my skin is usually neither too oily or too dry. I am sort of clueless as to how to treat my skin at this stage. Chemical peels? Dermarolling? A good cleanser?
  14. 5 days in and I got what I honk is the initial break out. I got 2 cysts on my hairline and a few nodules across my forehead. I haven't broken out on my cheeks or chin, at least not yet! I'm just leaving them alone, I've applied some aczone at night to keep redness down. My skin isn't dry yet and neither are my lips. I've been applying Burt's Bees chapstick and Vaseline religiously to prevent the dryness from coming on. My skin is still pretty oily. I'm on 20mg day for the first 2 weeks and then I'll be up 40mg. My back has experienced a bit of dryness and no new breakouts!
  15. On my eighth day and so far I'm getting what I assume is the initial breakout, and it's progressively getting worse! I'm not too worried, I know it's normal and I'm trying not to let it get to me. The cysts are pretty painful and inflamed and I'm doing my best to let them clear up themselves without irritation. I've also had some exams this week which could be taking a toll on my hormones. I know it will have to get better sometime down the road which is keeping me sane. I'm only a bit worried about scarring because my skin is very very sensitive to hyperpignentation.

  17. Hey guys, I am new here but figured I would share my experiences and see if any of you have insight that you can share with me. I’ve been to several dermatologists over the last decade and tried countless medications, none of which have really worked except for Accutane. Through trying all sorts of medications (and minimal success), I am now suspecting my comedones/scalp folliculitis are the result of some hormonal imbalance. -I hit puberty around 11 which started with acne on my face. It was mostly just normal acne, but it continued with me as I got older. 95% of all the acne I currently get and remember getting were comedones (whiteheads). I don’t entirely understand sebum, but it played a role in my high school life when I started getting chalazions on both of my eyes. They were terrible and unsightly, and lasted for months. I was told by an eye doctor that excess sebum caused this. -Thankfully those have stopped (not sure how!). I am 27 now. What has not stopped is whiteheads on my face and a few on my scalp. The rest of my scalp is covered in red bumps that are painful and unsightly (folliculitis). Sadly my body decided these last few years would be a good time to start balding. It started very slowly but my dermatologist was able to identify it at age 19 or so. I have the typical Male Pattern Baldness with the crown most affected with a receding hairline in the “M” shape. I have come to terms with this, even though it hit me so young, and shave my head and keep it very short in general. The problem, of course, is that when I do this my scalp has all sorts of unattractive red bumps (that are also painful!). It feels somewhat like being trapped, I can’t grow my hair out, but if I shave it, it doesn’t look good either. I don’t care about getting my hair back on top, I have let that one go. However, I want to get a clean scalp and face. Baldness runs in my family, but it hit me earlier than my dad, grandfather, etc. I started to wonder if this was somehow connected to my breakouts on my face and scalp. -Additionally I noticed something weird with my facial hair. The area around the goatee grows about half dark brown hairs and half white hairs. My normal hair color is dark brown, almost black. I don’t know if this is just purely genetics, or another hormonal imbalance. This also has been happening for years. With all of this being said, I went away from my wife on a 2 week business trip over the summer. I went to Louisiana, where during the summer it's very hot and it’s easy to be sweating like crazy. Additionally, I did not make smart choices in the food I ate. Much to my amazement, my comedones on my face drastically reduced, even though I was soaking in the humidity and eating BBQ and ice cream. What changed? I was not sexually active and did not masturbate or anything. I simply stopped all things sexual until I got back. Once I got home and things went back to normal, my issues flared up again. However my scalp folliculitis did not seem to go away; it was just my face that really cleared up. This is of course a troubling conclusion to come to, as abstinence in my marriage is not an option! While that won’t change, this again makes me believe the issue is internal and is stemming from some hormonal problem. It makes me somewhat mad that dermatologists kept on flipping pills and topicals at me (that weren’t cheap and didn’t work). Not one came to me and tried to draw a connection with the multitude of (visible) symptoms going on. I have read on a few boards that (for some people) there is a major connection between DHT and hair loss/folliculitis/comedones. In conclusion, all of these pieces of evidence are pointing me towards needing to try something that inhibits DHT. Between premature MPB, white/gray hairs in goatee, zero success with acne medications other than Accutane, and my experience over the summer in Louisiana, something needs to give. I have been scared off by saw palmetto after hearing some horror stories related to impotence. Here are some products I am thinking of trying: Zinc 50mg daily, or Clearogen products. Has anyone had experience with either of those? If anyone has similar stories or ideas I am all ears. Thanks so much
  18. Hi I don't know if this is the right forum because I literally just made an account today but what is going on with my face!!!? I woke up yesterday with my cheeks and chin all red and itchy with a minor amount of pimples, but from then on its just been getting itchier and more and more pimples are popping up I have no idea what the cause is and I haven't tried any new face product, nor have I worn makeup for almost a week. I have never in my life gotten a breakout like this, and my face is very acne prone but it has never broken out in like over 50 tiny little pimples. They have been becoming worse and the itch has not gone away. I went to the doctors and he prescribed "Avantan fatty oitment" but on the sheet it says to not use it on acne ? Someone pls reply asap my self esteem is like below zero right now and I'm so scared to touch it because I don't know what to do :(( also, I've had a really sore throat for the past few days which has turned into a throat infection. Could that and my breakout be linked ? thank you in advance xx

Has anyone found that nuts or peanut butter can be an aggravant? Thanks!
  20. Caveman Regimen with water

Recently i had a very severe breakout on my cheeks and chin which made me become so stress. It started when i used this cleansing machine together with my normal skin care routine and I used to apply benzoyl peroxide twice a day on the acne area. So I decided to stop using all my skincare routine and go on with caveman regimen. But I modified my caveman regimen by only splashing my face with water about 5 to 6 times a day. On day 1, my face seemed fine just only few numbers of whitehead and my acne started to heal more faster. Then continue up until day 6, my face is now full with whiteheads especially on my chin, nose and around my mouth area. As my forehead feels so rough like a sandpaper. I constantly feel very itchy especially on the whiteheads area. Now the problem is I can't stand the idea of this itchiness and my face looks so gross. My face just dry and not oily at all. I know that i have a combination skin. So it's kinda weird i don't experience any oil on my face right now. I need a suggestion what should i do with the whiteheads and should i just stop with this caveman regimen ? I'm 22 y/o and lives a moderate lifestyle. I'm also an asian.
  21. Okay, so the first two pictures are from Monday, Second pictures are from Thursday and the final photos are from Today (Friday). I am really trying my hardest to look for progress and stay positive. However, I am convinced that this regimen is no longer working for me. My mom says that I am breaking out because the regimen is doing its job. It has been like this since November, and I don't know why but I am beginning to lose hope for my skin. I long for that beautiful skin I use to have and I am starting to look for other alternatives. I use the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, the acne.org Benzoyl Peroxide, and the AHA, MOISTURIZER AND JOJOBA OIL. I like the cleanser, but I am not sure if its making me break out or its doing its job. So, what do you guys think? Be aware on Thursday I wore makeup, it does not look perfect at all. Should I continue with the regimen, or should I just go see a doctor? I am losing hope here and I am done being sad all the time and hiding my face from people. Its starting to really affect me and my life. Please any advice would do. I appreciate you guys.
  22. The pain is unbearable

I went to a beauty salon today to get my whiteheads extracted. I know that with proper equipments, you can do it at home, but I was so worried that I'd make mistakes and make my face look even worse. The lady at the salon really hurt the hell out of me. She managed to get those white heads out of my skin, but afterwards my face is covered with red angry marks that sting like a mofo. She told me that I produce too much oil, and the way to deal with it is to keep it moisturized - like I don't already fucking know! The problem is that I have school during the day and it's impossible to apply toner+moisturizer every 30 fucking minutes! I don't understand why those people who work at beauty salons assume that people don't have anything else going on besides caring for their acne... I don't know what to feel every morning when I look into the mirror. I go to bed every night hoping that my face would look better next day, that this and that whitehead would disappear after a good night's sleep, but it never happens. I get new pimples everyday. My mom said if I get a boyfriend, my skin will get much better. "It's all about having a balanced hormone." She said. But how in the hell could I find someone with this acne-littered face? I rarely talk to people outside of the classroom, or hang out with people for fun. I'd rather stay by myself most of the time because this is the only way that I don't feel nervous about my skin. I don't believe that guys would want to get to know me after seeing my face, despite the fact that I am a nice person. Sigh. This is the beginning of my 4th month on Mononessa. I don't know how long it si going to take for me to get clear. Maybe I will be stuck with this face forever...?
  23. Hi, For the most part, I am an acne-free individual, with the occasional zit here and there. I am an 18 year old female, eat healthy, and have "normal" skin that occasionally gets oily, depending on what point of the month I am at on my cycle. However, I have a rather deep labiomental (chin) crease, which I assume is trapping dirt and other impurities and causing whiteheads to form! They seem to be very sensitive, too -- even if I accidentally swipe my nail across my chin, the next morning, I'll wake up with at least one painful cystic zit. Do any of y'all struggle with this? Do you have any suggestions that could resolve this problem? Thanks!
  24. Hi All, I'm new here but definitely not new to the wonderful, joyous world of pimples. Now mine is quite mild but it still causes me a lot of strife. I'm very insecure about pimples and the like and because of that have a really bad problem with popping my pimples. Right now I'm not doing that because I had an epiphany and have resolved not to but to give you some history: Previously I would pop anything. And I mean anything. Ever whitehead, blackhead, pore. Tiny bumps on my forehead that I believe are closed comedones (but more on those later). ANYTHING! This, of course, led to bad flare ups. Duh past me. I have a few pimples on my shoulders, maybe 5 or 6, one on my neck, and a few on my shoulder-blades. A while ago I had a very bad chin flare up where my entire chin turned red and dry. It faded with use of suggested products by GP but I'm including a picture for reference. Anyway, I have not done that in a while - more than a week - and already my skin is clearing up but I am here to speak about more specific things. My forehead is riddled with small, colourless, painless bumps which, as I mentioned above, I believe are closed comedones based on my research but I might be wrong. They make it very hard to be confident. I am desperately seeking advice. As for my other crosses to bear? Well I have been washing my face twice a day with Cetaphil's Oil-Free Face Wash as usual but have additionally begun to sleep with a small amount of Sudocrem (previously Savlon) globbed on pimples and while it's only been a few days have seen great improvement. Not sure if anybody wants to guide me further in this area as well. IN SHORT I AM INSECURE AND HAVE A LOT OF BAD HABITS I NEED ADVICE FOR! P.S. In the pictures it looks like a lot of cream but it's not actually. P.P.S. My skin's very combination. Usually oily on my forehead but normal-dry elsewhere. P.P.P.S. My skin looks red today but it's summer here so I'm just flushed. BEFORE (4 days ago) THE TREATMENT TODAY
  25. Cured my skin problems!

After years and years of testing a number of products that suit me and my skin i've finally found what I need. My skin Problems Oily T-zone Clogged pores on my nose, white sebum stuff pimples on right side of face The three products I used to help me Avene CLEANSING FOAM Olay Complete Moisturiser Fluid Normal/Oily Avene TRIACNÉAL Its been over two months and i no longer get these clogged pores up in my nose which I used to steam my face and remove and extract them. They were a nightmare as id do these every week and over time they'd just make my pores bigger. I don't get spots on the side of my right face. Using the face wash morning and night, sometimes if i go to the gym at an awkward time lets say in the afternoon I'll wash my face using the cleanser straight after as its not a good idea to let sweat stay on your face for long but i wont wash my face at night ill just tap my face with a tissue or something. Ill use the same moisturizer at night. Maybe once or twice a week depending on how my face is feeling I'll use the Triacneal which ill apply a small small amount of around where my clogged pores are if they feel like they may come through this product breaks down the crap. I dont want my skin to get used to this product as i really don't want to change the nature of it. Extra products I rarely use these products but they're still part of my regime: Lush Mask of magnaminty Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub I really don't like using the face scrub i'm not sure why but it does the job it justs seems to work really well with my skin. The mask is a rare occasion if i feel like ive been sweating out a lot over the gym and stuf or a special occasion ill use it
