im currently using duac in the moring and isotrex in the evening- duac to stop bacteria growing and isotrex which is a gel form of accutane.
ive been on this treatment 4 months with NO improvement but my derm is confident that i will not have acne from decemeber onwards so he says that i have been 'discharged' :'( meaning i wont be going back there at all...

im so upset coz my confidence is poor anyway but i get these massive spots all the time and i blemish like a motherfucker o i look like ive got worse acne than i actually have!
my skin is reddish from the blemishs so i try and use bio oil but that just makes me break out further sad.gif im so unhappy by the way i look and im so scared of makeup coz i breakout even more!!!!!!!!

is anyone else on this treatment? anyone have positive outcomes?? is there anything i can do to help my skin myself??

if you have any ideas or opinions or ANYTHING that could help please let me know!

Hello, im from the UK,
okayy so i am off to the derm on the 19 october (: yayay! this is my second appointment.
in my first appointment i was prescribed isotrex which has done shit all to help my skin sad.gif The derm said that if, by october, i was still having breakouts he would put me on roaccutane which is a life saver in my opinion!
BUT, i have been told that in america you have to wait 30days before starting and sign an ipledge which is the worst thing ive eveer heard coz the wait is made longer ): i was just wondering that, in the UK, do you have to wait for 30days before starting and sign an ipledge??! like UK version??
or are you just prescribed the pills and then you can collect them on the same day?
please help (: im really unsure about how i should go about this as i dont want to be disappointed if its true ):

Thankyou so much for your help xxx

just got back from the derm and he said to use isotrex gel and duac cream as a combination to clear my acne. duac is suppossed to be used at night once a day but the isotrex leaves a film on my face so i tend to use duac in the morning during the day and isotrex at night.

do you think this is ok?? im unsure whther this will work with my face coz ive been using it for 3 wekks now with no improvemnt just constant breakouts...sad.gifsad.gif

is anyone else on this combination cure?? if so please let me know what your doing smile.gif ...let me know if im doing this right etc...

Thank you smile.gif

Hey there
Just wondering if there is an ipledge kind of thing that you have to do in the uk? i know that in the US and in Austrailia you have to wait a month after your first visit to the derm called an ipledge or something. is there something like this in the uk?

thank you biggrin.gif

argghhhh i have moderate/severe scarring PLUS moderate/severe acne that never goes away. i have fair skin so everything shows up and because of the scarring my face always looks really uneven and looks likes its melting...i know that sounds ridiculous but its true. I cant remember the last time i had a picture taken but it was sometime last year and people are so judgemental they constantly bitch and discuss your 'uncleanliness' and its so unfair!
i wash my face twice a day with clinique soap. i dont moisturize coz when i did i just broke out but my skin always looks dead yet greasy. does anyone recommend any brands that have worked for them? any routines that have worked? im currently on duac and tetralysal tablets so i dont want to try BP in case i produce more oil due to dryness.
if anone has the same problem or use products that work for them please let me know id be eternerly grateful
