Cleanser Hell. Suggestions please....

Been using Dan's Cleanser for the past several months. It's too drying for me. My face literally feels like it is going to tear in half after I wash my face.

I have extremely oily skin. I'm open to using anything. I've used Cetaphil in the past, among other things. Didn't love Cetaphil but can't remember why. Open to trying that again.

Help me. I'm going crazy.

MAC Studio Fix Lovers

So I abandoned my beloved MAC Studio Fix foundation for a while due to my newly found adoration (or so I thought...) of Clinique Clarifying Clear Skin Formula foundation. Ever since I started using Dan's Moisturizer, which I seriously love except for the shine it causes, the Clinique Clarifying hasn't been cutting it. So I whipped out my good old MAC Studio Fix. And I tried it with my stupid MAC 182 kabuki brush (I NEVER use it since I HATE mineral makeup...but I have it because of the lovely au gratis). MAC Studio Fix + kabuki brush = HEAVEN.

Oh man...I forget how much I love Studio Fix. I shall never stray from thee again.

So, any of you who use Studio Fix, try it with a kabuki brush if you want a little more coverage. The MAC 187 is still my HG of foundation brushes. But the kabuki is phenomenal.

I was so depressed this weekend, and now I'm happy because of Studio Fix.

Let the MAC MSF Mania begin...

MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes (MSFs) are being released in the US this week (July 19) with the Flashtronic color story.

Three brand new ones, plus mineralize eye shadows (way better than the mineralized duos released before).

I just wanted to let you know because these are SO FREAKING POPULAR and are so difficult to get once they are released. A lot of people collect them and are oblivious as to when they are being released. So here ya go...July 19.

MSFs have a crazy cult following and are hands down the most coveted and anticipated products at MAC. The MAC 187 brush was made for MSFs.

At my store, we usually have a line of people waiting for us to open the day they are released.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that they are coming out this week.

And if you can only afford one, get Northern Light. It is gorge.





And I'm just posting this because MSFs are very popular and very difficult to get once they are released and lots of people love/want/need them. I'm not trying to boost MAC sales or anything because it really doesn't affect me. Just trying to be nice and let you all know ahead of time.

shoe shopping for my new job!!

So I got a new permanent job in the psychological counseling clinic as part of my master's program at my university. So in lieu of my new position, I had to buy new clothes for work. And I had to get new shoes for work because all of my shoes are pretty uncomfortable, which is fine because pumps usually aren't comfortable and are not made to be comfortable. But these are comfortable and cute. So I bought them...three of them. I love Cole Haan.

So I bring them home and model my new clothes and shoes for my boyfriend (let me tell you, he was SO interested...ha ha). And he rains on my freaking parade by saying, "Those are a little unreasonable, don't you think? That's a lot of money for just...shoes."

Do you think I'm being unreasonable? You'd better say no.

And secondly, what kind of makeup do people wear to work?!? I can't wear neutrals every single day of the week... It's been so difficult from wearing fun colors at MAC to neutrals every day. It sucks.

Don't worry...I'm not giving up my position at MAC quite yet. Too much fun and too much free makeup. I'll probably have to quit in the fall though. Sad.

I had to share with you all since I live with a stupid boy who doesn't understand shoes.
